- Anonymrobocall on my landline phone from 888-579-9559 caller ID said "NO NAME" on Friday 9-16-16 @ 1147 AM.
brand new different message from our wonderful SCAMMER friends from card services.
(could they have retired or fired old rachel ?)
the message ended I said "are you still there why don't you tell some more."
and to my surprise it was voice activated and repeated the entire message again.
plus it repeated it another 3 times after for a total of 5 times and almost 8 minutes.
It was a wonderful way to hopefully run up the SCAMMERS phone bill.- Caller: credit card interest SCAM
- PaulieSame here - saw the number, looked it up here, added it to our call blocker by the third ring. I wonder - do we get a prize for blocking a certain number of these calls?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ralph wReceived a call from this number to my cell, didn't answer, no voicemail message left.
- AtomicAJRobocall (illegal) with a pre-recorded message (also illegal) pretending to me representing Visa and Mastercard (no one represents both, so lies) promising I am eligible to lower the interest rate on all of my credit cards to 0.0%. Since Visa and Mastercard don't control my credit card interest rate (the banks do that), this is obviously a scam. The pre-recorded message directs pressing 1 for more information or 3 if uninterested or to be removed. Pressing 3 transfers you to a person, and it's always good to waste their time (not sarcasm). I think I woke him up. As soon as I said I was asking to be removed, he hung up on me.

- ichy7 replies to Rich| 2 repliesThese are scammers, usually based in India. First they ask you to go to a certain place on your computer and show you that it has errors (all computers have errors lists). Then they will ask to take control of your computer to help remove the virus, but what they actually do is to UPLOAD a virus TO your computer and then charge you a large sum of money to remove it. It is an illegal scam, but stopping them is almost impossible. The Do Not Call list is also useless. Your best bet is to get caller ID and USE IT ! Do NOT answer any calls you do not recognize. They continually get new numbers too so keeping track is of little value. Just DO NOT ANSWER their calls is best. Our phone provider has an option for free that gives your phone a different ring when it is long distance (800+ numbers too) so you can usually tell when it is one of "those" calls. Good luck ! I also love this site as it gives you a very good idea of what others have found out.

- Highly annoyed and violatedReceived call first from automated system saying I had great payment history on my credit card. If I wanted to apply for no finance visa or MasterCard press 1. I pressed one and live person answered. I asked to be taken off the calling list and was told I have a sexy voice. Disgusting. He claimed to be a financial advisor. Really??? When I asked for a supervisor he told me the same thing.
- SickofitCalls, nothing but silence, and before I can even pull call block up, they call again.

- AJ replies to RichNO!!! Scam!!! Do not let these people into your computer. They create a problem, then charge you to resolve the issue.
- Dr C replies to RichHeck no, it's not real. It is one of the biggest scams going, right now.
- Dr CGot this call on my business line. Silence when I answered. Then, they hung up. Sick of these types of calls. So, I blocked & called them back, continuously for 1/2 hour, letting them see how harassment feels. Absolutely, do not "press 1 to have your # placed on their so-called "do not call list". That is how they verify you for even more of these calls. It is more fun to just screw around with them, if you get a live person.
- Caller: spammer/scammer
