Sister got a call that I would get served on following day if I did not return call and a docket was being prepared for a utility bill I supposedly owe from 8 years ago

Got a call from mother in law saying I was being sued and they needed to speak to me. Said she was a reference number that's how they got her number. I called and talked to an Eric and he said it was from Stream energy and that I needed to pay or I was going to be sued?? I had that company more than 12 years ago?? Are these people even for real??

Trustmark is a known criminal debt collector located in Western New York, haven for other criminal debt collectors.  Take the time to read the informative posts in this thread.

Said the same to me td bank an account I had when I was 17 which was 10 years ago said they will take me to court and close my current bank account

This number called me yesterday saying I owe td bank from 10 years ago when I was 17. Said they sent letters to my parents house which I asked them and didn't receive. They said they would take me to court and close my current bank account . They might've gotten money from me if I didn't see this plus some friends said maybe a scam

If you had been 17 at the time of the loan and were the only signer on that loan you would not have been legally responsible for paying it back because you were not legally able to make a contract.  Don't let a voice on the phone scare you into paying them extortion money.  Read up and learn what you need to know before you become a victim of a crime.  All the resources are in this thread.

Called to say my computer was under attack = hacked.  Same with my network and IP address.  A very good sales job - wouldn't let me off the phone.  Passed me to a mgr.  Gave me a name to call back.  Did so.  They answered.   I found the company related to Tata Inc in India.  When I wouldn't say yes and hung up.  They called back 3 times.  Said someone was trying to hack my bank acct - gave me a time and amount.  I called my bank - no activity.
