I received a call stating they had a charge against me.  Its a scam.

This number (888-582-2093) called me at my workplace.  They said it was a pressing matter and if I didn't respond that they would be serving me with papers. I called them and they wanted payment for some loan that I was supposed to have had in 2007. I ask them to send me an invoice and they said they couldn't do that. It would have to be paid through an automatic withdraw through my checking account, and ask me for the numbers and bank name.  I wouldn't give them the account number and they told me they would be serving me papers and told me "Good Luck".  This must be a SCAM. They called a couple of times but with different company names.

They constantly call looking for someone I don't even know and they block their caller ID. They leave messages making it sound like it is a law firm handling the case and that they have charges against that person and that they were just trying to confirm the address to serve him with papers. It is a collection agency.

They also call using 877-504-4793.

Now back 20 years ago, when I was young and stupid. I made a few mistakes. I did my time. So when some company retains someone to serve me documents, calling me wanting me to give him my home address, they have bumped their heads. He said his name was John Holman and gave me 888-582-2093 to ASAP and a reference number. I just called it was check n go

These people have called twice now asking for a Katrina Higgins.  Yesterday she was supposedly my sister, today she claims our house is hers?  WTF?  Called the number back and said DO NOT call again.  Next time I call the cops.

I have received two calls about a week a part...same woman's voice...different names.  The individual they have listed as a claim against, doesn't exist.  Two different numbers: 1) 855-310-XXXX and 2) 888-582-XXXX.  The end by saying LOUD AND CLEAR "that you've officially been notified".  Well, if you're reading these posts scammers...HEAR THIS.....keep it up and I'll be contacting the FBI.  Terrorist and theifs.  You can serve life if  you're caught.

Suzan,  Don't ask them for an invoice.    An Invoice is just a bill from them and means nothing.   Demand complete Validation of the debt from the Original owner with verifiable legitimate proof of any signed contract that may exist between you and the Original owner of the alleged debt and their legal right to claim and collect in your state.
Do not accept  Fax or email.   Must be sent via usps mail.   They have 5 days to provide this information and must provide it or they are further violating the law and your rights under the FDCPA  (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act)

Maybe the louder they yell  "you've been notified",   they think that you are more apt to believe it.   lol
