A relative received a phone call from this company today claiming that they were looking for me and they threw around all the usual buzzwords designed to cause concern (i.e. "summons", "court", "judgment"). Credit to said relative, he did not give out my phone number but managed to pry out the number - this number - from the caller.

I subsequently called them and they gave me the same speech, claiming there is an impending judgment out upon me. It took a lot of effort to find out who they were supposedly representing and when the man on the phone gave me the supposed information I knew this was a scam. Although he did quote a credit card I once had and defaulted on back in 2007, he didn't refer to the original company by the proper name AND he quoted an outrageous amount owed "after court fees" (over $4,000) for an account that, when charged off and sold into collections in 2008, only had a $500 limit with a $275 balance. I may have been irresponsible with my credit but I'm not irresponsible with my credit reports, so I knew these numbers were bogus.

He claimed he had their lawyer on the other end (as if said lawyer was just sitting on hold perpetually) and he'd try to negotiate on my behalf. He did this without any input from myself. Suddenly he came back with such "great news" that I could settle this account for a mere $1800 if paid today. When I asked for written confirmation, he started tripping over himself telling me how I had to take advantage of this great deal NOW.

After the phone call, I started doing some digging. The first red flag for anyone reading this is the fact that no one reported this number until late April of this very year. Prior to April it's as if the number and the company didn't exist - likely because it DIDN'T. The second red flag is the company's website, which wasn't live until February of this year, and the address, which links directly to a leased box at a "PostalAnnex+" store.

This is clearly a scam designed to prey on people's emotions and lack of preparedness in regards to their credit information. While they had accurate information (sometimes!) they were clearly targeting a low end account that was not only charged off but also past the time barrier in both my home state and the state where the card was issued. If you get a call from this number, I'd suggest you take as much information from them as you can, terminate the call, and report them to Fraud.org.

Child support?  OK, maybe.  But most people are complaining about jail threats regarding ordinary civil debts.  Yes, you can be arrested in child support cases which are technically civil matters.  But not the kind of calls most people get here.  You sound like shill to me.

Looks like mall-rat debt scammers.  One cut above kitchen-table debt scammers.

I Did received a similar voice mail dated 18th April 2014. Stating the same that there are some investigation against me. I never had any late payments nor my credit score is hammered. Seems a prank call. I have just listened to my old voice mail and received this.
Do let me know if there are any more update about this number.

No one is going to take some action about these frauds??? Do we have any news on this fraud team?? Infect I never have any case altogather during my entire life. They have messed up with a wrong guy this time :)

Law Enforcement agencies should take appropriate action against these F**Kers.....

Suite F289 is a Postal Annex shop.  Same address. Riverside CA.  Mall-rat/kitchen table debt scammers.

These people called and left a message with my nephew did not ask if he was over the age of 18 stated that they are handling business for me, concerning court papers and legal document that needs to be sign, I may have had a credit card but the limit was not 1,200.00 dollars and if I did have one it was so long ago I truly dont remember so I called the company back myself and asked them why would they give my nephew any information like that and scare him, the rep said well you know you owe, I explained to him if I owr anything I havent receieved any thing in the mail,and he stated that I can pay right now and he will waive all court cost I explained to him send me sometging via email are to my home, which he asked me for my address. If he was sending out Court Papers he should have all my infomation already. He hung up the phone when I asked him why he dont have my address...
