Also had a call from this number any clue?

My phone rang, showing this ph #. The usual "Scam Likely" didn't appear. A recording stated "you are the 4th person in line."
Who does that # belong to, & is it inside the USA? What's up?

888 is a toll free number just like all the other toll free numbers that exist in the North American Numbering Plan.  Until someone answers the call we will never know who called or why they called.  As to "is it inside the USA?", well, any phone number can be spoofed.  If you don't know what that is you can look up "Caller ID Spoofing".

If I had to guess, I would say it sounds like a busy customer service where whomever called them opted to be put on a callback list instead of waiting until they are next, but probably gave the one number wrong and you got the confirmation instead.  I could be wrong, but that is my guess. :)
