Received a call stating it was Valerie Turner with the County Courier dispatching verification department. She stated that she was calling about serving papers in a civil legalmatter and that if I didn't call back within two hours they were going to show up at my residence or work place.

And did they turn up? Was this a real person or another scam?

Just received a phone call this afternoon on answering machine. Same as NJ

Did anyone ever show up? What happened in this situation?

A man called saying that officers have attempted to serve my husband documents but was unsuccessful. They said that I was listed as someone that they could give papers too. I asked what it's in regards to.. I said that I would call him and then they said they would put it on hold for 1 hour before they proceed in court without my husband... It's a scam.. thank goodness I googled this.. I was about to get mad at my husband because I thought he really did something bad. UGH! They said to call a Law Firm at 888.585.6497... NOT REAL!

Did you know it is illegal to claim to be an attorney if they are  not licensed??  Also REAL process servers do NOT call & warn you that they are coming.
REPORT at www.consumerfinance.gov & your state attorney general.  Then block them.

"This message is intended for" someone else's name. "I am contacting you with the county verification department..."  Absolutely fake since they won't even say what county.

"Nicole Walker" from DLA Associates called my sister-in-law to reach me and left a message for me. I called back and supposedly I am getting served! What a joke!?! When I started asking "Nicole" questions and she got defensive and hung up! TOTAL SCAM!!!!

Called to locate relative to serve legal papers. Also called 3 other family members

Hi my name is Julie I'm calling from the county carrier service our office has been retained to deliver legal documentation to your property address this is regarding a pending action against you _⁠_⁠_⁠_ no contact to _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ today our field agent will be does your property address and _⁠_⁠_⁠_ _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ on _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ on record it's important that contact extreme firm today at 883-585-6497 and referred to your to _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ as an order of noncompliance _⁠_⁠_⁠_ _⁠_ _⁠_⁠_ actually for service again the phone number is 85856497…”

This exact same thing happened to me except they where trying to get ahold of one of my siblings. They even had her work #! Super creapy what scammers can get ahold of now days.

They called my home and cell phone and asked for me by my both my married and maiden names. When I called back with the file number they left on my voicemail, they kept me on hold too long so I hung up.

Same message voicemail was left but not at my own number but at a relative's number. No idea who these people are or what they need but nobody showed up at my home or work place, no phone call at my own number, no letter in the mail so it may be scam.

This number called one of my relatives and left a voicemail for me, nothing at my own number  no letter in the mail, nothing. No idea who they are or what they want.

Claiming to be someone trying to get ahold of someone o havent spoken to in 10 years

They called my job saying they went to my house twice that’s a lie I kinda figured it was a scam these losers need to get a real job seriously

Called my job to come arrest me my boss told them to come on they refuse and said it’s a private matter and they’re sure I’ll want to handle it at my home and wanted my address and cell number she took down the number and my case number the crazy part is the last 4 of my case number is the last 4 of my social

Difference would that make? A scam is a scam no matter where you receive the call.

This is a scam!!! The same thing from 8 years ago being done by con artist. Court servers never tell you ahead of time, nor do the cops!!!! Just block'em!!  :-)
