A man claiming to be a Comcast Xfinity rep called with an offer this morning: Comcast would cut bill in half if 6 months are prepaid with $300 BestBuy gift card, but the offer expire today at 8pm. There was even a $100 Visa gift card to sweeten the deal. Man gave us another toll free number to call 888-655-2095 with a confirmation code.  My wife bought BestBuy card and we call the circus. One man answered, he asked for the confirmation code and started the same scenario. When we asked to prove that he is with comcast, he said: I can give you your account# but first I need the last 4 of your social number and of course we refused. Then I asked for "superior", another man with accent came to the phone and said he can give us all the personal data but he needs last 4 of the credit card. and I gave him 4 digits, he confirmed our address, phone number and bill amount to the dollar( was $0.50 off). Then I asked for account # and after 10 min on hold I received a text message from comcast official# used for text messages with a code that I provided to him and he confirm my account number. I was almost ready to prepay, BUT
After he used my name,(my wife is on the account) I gave him fake last 4 digit of credit card and false confirmation code, and he still was able to provide all my personal data. THAT MUST BE A MAGICIAN OR SOMETHING.

BE AWARE.

During the call i called Comcast from another number and first they said since we have pending appointment no one can change our plan, then was transferred to fraud department and they said they receive 2,3 complain a day, but they don't need any phone# to report.
