Posting here will not get them to stop (even though it is a good site to look up #s). I filled it out because this # is a 3rd party telemarketing operation working for Windstream. They call multiple times daily...NEVER leave messages if you don't answer, try to sell you packages you alreasy subscribe to if you do answer. Not only have I told them every single time to add me to THEIR "do not call list" (I am on the National Do Not Call as well), they continue. I even called and had lengthy conversations with supervisors at the phone # *on my BILL* (Do NOT give info to anyone calling from any other #!) and they SSURED me that even though I do business with them, they will be sure to put me on a DO NOT DISTURB for everything except US MAIL (they even send strangers to your DOOR which I wanted stopped as well).  STILL this keeps happening, so as you can see, five minutes filling out the online complaint form with the FCC (using a quick glance through your call log to get dates and times) will be what is need to heavily FINE them and stop this abuse of CUSTOMERS and more.  Windstream is a monopoly here, or I'd drop them quickly. Maybe time to go all CELL since they are using these tactics!

You are incorrect.  Our number is 1-888-586-6707 not 6706.

In the future, please take the time to do smart research before you make internet posts that can compromise the integrity of another.  Freeway China North America, Inc. does not make any outbound calls nor are we "telemarketers".  Our number is solely for the support of our customers.

Quit pestering people and GET A LIFE of your own.  If people are not answering their phone or paying their bill...what in the world makes you think you're harassment will change that???!!!!  You're all a bunch of IDIOTS!!!!  How do you know people are "deadbeats"?  That's how debt collectors treat everyone and you haven't got a clue.   You get a phone number and just keep harassing people because you have no life of your own!!  STOP HARASSING PEOPLE!!  When you don't get any where after a phone call or TWO  then stop calling!!!!  I just unplug the phone and figure you can just listen to the phone ring and it only wastes YOUR time not mine.  If I want anyone to call me....I give them my cell number and still get any IMPORTANT CALLS that I want!!!  Happy dialing!!!

Thanks for the  info.  What happened to the No Call List?  "They" call anyway but I do I answer unsolicited calls.

If it is so important to you and your company (Assume Windstream) would it not be reasonable to have the name displayed on Caller ID - since we pay Windstream for that service?  It doesn't cost anything to leave a message!!

They just called here, toll free service on the ID. Didn't answer.

Received numerous calls from 888-586-6706 all times of day and night and no one is ever on the other end..  Stop calling me.

I have received numerous calls from this number.  recently I called the number back to see if there was a recording that would enable me to remove my name from the list.  I was surprised that a human answered the phone! I asked who was calling and it is from the company WINDSTREAM.   That is now my home phone company and they have the nerve to do telemarketing to their own customers.  I told them I am on the do not call list and want my number removed.  They said it may take 30 days to get my number out of system.  I called a week ago so far no further calls from them.
I can't believe the phone company makes telemarketing calls to their own customers.......don't they get it?  that is why many people do not have land lines anymore!!  Crazy

I also am getting unwanted calls from this number.  They phone early in morning - they never speak to me - just dead air and then a hang-up.  After reading this post I called the number back.  It is Windstream - it is their promotions departments and when I emphatically stated that I was very annoyed at having to run to answer the phone only to get dead air - the man who answered for Windstream apologized - said they do use an auto dialer which calls 2 numbers at one time and hangs up on other number - he then put me on their no-call list and within 30 days this should stop.  I must say they have the world's worst e-mail service - worst phone service and worst service if anything goes wrong with the home phone.  I just found out today by accident that we have voice mail.  Heaven only knows how many phone calls are sitting in voice mail that we have no knowledge of.  So much for Windstream.  And I certainly do not want to BUY anything from them.  That would be a real horror show trying to get any type of service or support.

I've also been getting the toll-free Windstream calls for what seems like several months. The few times I've answered the phone, there has been no message or voice.

I just phoned my Windstream customer support number (800-537-7755) and spoke to a nice lady named Tanya (not sure of spelling), who apologized and said I would be blocked from all Windstream marketing calls as of 7 p.m. today.

Even though I was angry about the non-stop calls, I was polite to her and she was polite to me. If there are no more calls, I will consider Windstream to be a company that quickly fixes its mistakes and give them credit for that. I will report back to this forum if they do NOT fix the problem.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I just got a call from the 888 dialer. This comes just a few days after Windstream customer support assured me I would not receive any more of them.

I guess I'll have to phone some more people to get this problem addressed.

These guys are relentless in their pursuit of organized crime activities.

I received a phone call from 888-586-6706.  Saying they are from Windstream, and have a package deal for my computer.  How can I stop these calls?

This number is One Touch Direct, LLC, in Tampa, Florida, calling on behalf of Windstream.

In 2009 I received 162 calls from this number .  In 2010 I received 187 calls from them. It is now January 2011 and I have already received 9 calls from them. I send an email to them (link on their website) the first day of every month to put me on their DNC list. They do not.  I have filed a complaint with the FCC.  Calls have not stopped.  I have called Windstream direct and asked to be put on the DNC list.  I still get calls from them.  I have NEVER AND WILL NOT EVER answer the phone when they call.  I have them blocked so the phone does not ring when they call, but I still see their number on caller ID.  What next?

Received yet another phone call from Toll Free Service, 1-888-586-6706. I always give them a Toll Free hang up. Yesterday this person called when I was not home, leaves this message asking to speak with me in this police sounding voice. They call again today but they do not stay on the line so I can tell him where he can place his phone. After reading your other posts, it may be time to drop Windstream services. Magicjack is cheaper and works just as well.

Received a call from this number today.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  I do not use and have never heard of Windstream, so it makes no sense that they would be calling me.  I don't even have home phone service, and my Internet is through Comcast.

WHAT GOOD IS THE "DO NOT CALL" LIST IF YOU DON'T ENFORCE IT????  There are WAY TOO MANY LOOPHOLES THAT COMPANIES CAN USE AND STILL BUG THE CRAP OUT OF YOU!

My mother keeps getting calls from this number. When she asked them not to keep calling... they started calling more often. Goodness... if this is really Windstream like they claim, they are really doing the company a real disservice.going to give them a bad name. When my mother declined their offers one gal got loud and asked "WHY" my mother had already explained she does not own a computer..
