Same here. Got a letter about winning money for sweepstakes's I didn't enter.

Got another Letter today. Says one winner could receive $550,000.00 in Cash if you call by Jan 05, 2017. Also "no one else can ENTER or WIN the $10,000.00+weekly prize for 52 Weeks with this number".  From National Magazine Exchange.

I received a letter saying I could win 10,576.92 a week for 52 weeks. Must enter by December 29 2016, no purchase required. Might as well give it a shot,but I'm NOT buying magazines!

Received a letter from National Magazine Exchange said second notice on front of envelope they would not take NO to their magazine offers had to hang up to end conversation. She said they were located in Clearwater Fl. Wanted to know which credit card had the best rates Discover Visa or MasterCard I said I didn't know because I didn't have one then she asked me if my bank card was a Visa Then came the magazine conversation

Did they also tell you that you had won your choice of a mans or womans diamond watch ?

"could win $550K". Confirmed credit card ownership. Did not purchase a magazine. Offered a watch and a free Royal Cruise. I hung up the phone and threw the paper away.

If someone could take the time to post the important information off of that letter and envelope it would be helpful.  Name of the company/magazine, addresses from the letter and envelope, and anything else that might be helpful in identifying who they are.  Further the letter and envelope should be taken to the post office and have them forward it to the Postal Inspectors.

So did you ever receive the 10,000 a week for 52 weeks?   Just wondering if its a scam I want no part of it.   Also I feel you could sue then for not being honest.

I can answer that one...NO, ITS A SCAM!!!  All scammers are liars, so suing a scammer is not where the challenge lies, its with finding them first.

Magazine companies use marketing tricks to get you to buy magazines, by telling you that you COULD win, but you never do. Scammers will say you DID win, but need to give them a processing fee and then run off with your money.
