This woman called me today by private # and I accidentally answered.  She told me that I have lawsuit and gave me case # and phone and her first name. She wouldn't give me any other information why she's calling about. Call back the number and this guy threatening me that US band suit me and if he spoke to the lawyer at the moment I may need to pay $800.00 right now. I told him no. This is a scam

Got a Blocked call yesterday. She said that in order to serve some legal papers, they need to verify some information. She gave me a case # and a number to call to provide that information. At that point I got a bit nervous. I called the guy and he told me Wells Fargo is suing me for $1000 overdraft /fees for a closed account from 2002 to 2008. The actual late fees are $100, and the rest are for classes that Wells Fargo registered for me to teach me personal banking (I am not kidding). They apparently sent me a settlement letter (for $300) notice last October so this is a final notice and confirmation before they send me the papers.

I actually did have an account, so I was a bit confused.  I kept telling him there is no way I owe money. He tried to console me saying, "things happen man", just take care of it or you have to go to court. I told me send me papers, I will go to court. He said good luck and hung up.

This was the first time I received such a fake call so I did panic for a bit. Thinking about it later, its way past the Statue of Limitation for my State.

I think this is a husband and wife running the show.
