- Jimmy D| 3 repliesCalled me twice in half an hour never left a message. Kinda wondering who it is. Looked up the number on reverse directory with no results.
- Kiki| 4 repliesPicked up the phone and the call was dropped. It cost me my .99 for the day! I hate that verizon did that!
- Caller: Verizon
- JB replies to Kiki| 1 replyHow did you get them to stop calling your number? They keep callint my several times a day.
- C| 1 replyA few days ago I signed up for INpulse, Verizon's prepay plan, thinking I could save money by not using my cell phone for most days of the month. This is a new number that no one should know, but yesterday I got a call from a telemarketer, (310)212-0400, and today I got two calls from (888)602-2073, 30 minutes apart. I did not pick up on any of the three calls. It costs me a minimum $.99 each day that I use the phone, so if I get stuck with a daily charge because of a single incoming call from a telemarketer that I didn't pick up on, I am going to get mad and tell everyone that INpulse is a scam. (It's ridiculous that payments expire, too.) And how did that telemarketer get my number so soon anyway?
- The terminator| 1 replyVerizon is here to rip us up!!!!!!!!!! Scammers!!!!!
- Answergirl replies to Kiki| 1 replyHey there! I know for a fact that the 8886022073 number does NOT trigger your daily fee OR any charges. The reason they don't leave a message is because if you went to pick up their message that WOULD cause you to trigger your daily fee if that is the calling plan you were on. Hope this makes sense. Seriously, go online to www.vzw.com/myprepay and check under Balance Details on the day of that call you will see that it did not trigger unless you made another call that day.
- Answergirl replies to CHey..the only way a Telemarketer could have gotten your number is if it was someone else's number before..or they were doing random dialing. BTW I know for a fact that the 8886022073 number does NOT trigger your daily fee OR any charges. The reason they don't leave a message is because if you went to pick up their message that WOULD cause you to trigger your daily fee. on. Hope this makes sense. BTW you can register online at www.vzw.com/myprepay and your Balance Details expiration info etc..any time you want.
- Answergirl replies to Jimmy DWas a FREE Welcome Call from Verizon Wireless to make sure you had all you needed on your new account. If you had called the number back you would have also received the Welcome Call...because it would have caller id your number. It is a completely FREE INCOMING or OUTGOING 888#. They don't leave a message because if you went to pick up the message that looks like a normal call and charges would have been incurred.
- Answergirl replies to JBThey only try to get you three times. If you answer or call the 888# back it automatically takes you off the list. The call is only queued up for one day, 3 times. So you are already done! :)
- Lucky225 replies to AnswergirlThis number called me 3 times today. Read the posts from AnswerGirl so I called it back. It does not trigger daily fee (it was the first # I called today, I didn't get a fee until I called someone else) it is most likely airtime free as the message states, when I called it I didn't get the usual 'Your time remaining for this call is.....Unlimited' message that I usually get when calling any other number, it just straight up connected. However this number is QUITE annoying. After I called and listed to Verizon's 5 minute recording, I received a 3rd call AFTER calling them back. I had to listen to another 5 minutes before I could hit the option for a rep. Once I got the rep on the phone she asked for my 4 digit security code which authenticates that I am the owner of the prepaid phone. I found this very annoying as the call was initiated by Verizon, NOT by me. And who's to say people won't start using spoofcard.com or another Caller ID spoofing service and set up some fake verizon greeting when you answer and then try to Social Engineer you out of your 4 digit code? When I explained to the rep I wasn't going to give it since SHE called me, not the other way around, she said there was nothing she could do if I didn't provide the code, I even asked her to just NOTE the account that I had received a call from them and will call back *611 directly and provide the 4 digit code when I call back but she refused to notate the account without the 4 digit code.. too me this is the same run-a-round ruse someone trying to obtain your information by posing as Verizon would actually say, I was very annoyed and upset with the poor customer service. After I called *611 the rep took me off of verizon's solicitation, so HOPEFULLY they don't call again, we will see.
- flanylI work graveyard shift, and these rectal cysts call me in the middle of the day. Normally, I wouldn't care because the average person is up then, and I'm especially glad that it was Verizon, and that they don't charge for this call, but what ticks me off is that I was woken up after only an hour of sleep to answer the phone thinking it was an emergency at work, only to be hung up on as soon as I answered. This makes me angry, and I start having thoughts that there is a conspiracy against sleep.
If I have the courtesy to wake up from a dead sleep and answer the phone, they should have the courtesy to stay on the line and tell me why they called. - juice replies to Jimmy Dmaybe that person is stalking u.
