    Proceed with extreme caution:
I saw this number on Craigslist post id #1106430526. I was not called, but I want toflag the number, please.
They advertise a single room for rent that is unrealistically cheap ($350.00/month). The photos are from anywhere else BUT Kauai. The images are straight out of some old midwest apartment with mainland trees to match outside.
This has got to be a scam since there is a lot of weird gobbledygook code at the bottom that's not even computer lingo.
I didn't care to call their number because I'm certain this is a SCAM!
    It is too fishy.

I called 888-618-6734 up and learned from the person who answered with a Northeast US accent that he represents a "reality/realty" company that seeks to connect homeowners that have distressed properties with individuals who would be willing to divulge their credit card or debit card numbers to him and be charged $1.00 for three day access to his website that lists such homeowners for the purpose of renting a room cheaply. He would not accept cash or check ("it's too cumbersome"), nor would he give a mailing address.
He gave me a number to call: 1-800-806-2710. So I googled it and found their website. It's called Realty Partner in Las Vegas, Nevada.
    Pretty shady stuff.
I guess you can figure out the rest, right?

This phone number being used for a craiglist of buy/own cheap rental in Denver at nonsense location

These people are most definitely scammers. On craiglist, They post the same pics in multiple cities, HELLOOO common sense dear poster, lush midwestern trees don't grow in the desert. The first red flag is the ridiculously low price at which they post rental properties on CL. Second, when you call them they tell you that exact property doesn't exist, presumptively already sold, but if you give them money they can tell you about a few others. Then when you call them out on being shady and scammy they get all huffy. Imagine.

didn't call them but i actually responded to one of the ads by email and got a reply saying "this property is in foreclosure" then asking me to pay $2.95 on some website to view the information. then i emailed back saying could i have just a little bit more info for free - i didn't want to pay $2.95, and lo and behold, got no response. real listings for real property will never be this shady. suspicious, i quickly deleted the email from all my inboxes (no attachments thankfully). and then googled the phone number in the ad and found many websites discussing it. These people should be stopped. It's obviously a scam. people with even a little common sense won't be duped, but i'm sure there are people who have. at best, they're just a giant nuisance on CL and a waste of time.

The people saying that this is a scam are telling the truth. Under no circumstances should you call these people or give them your credit information. They advertised a very cheap apartment on craigslist, and because the fee to use their website was only $1.00, i decided (against common sense) to go ahead and pay. Once i got the service, the apartment they were actually advertising did not even exist, nor was there anything even remotely close in price or location to what was advertised. You have to cancel your account in order to prevent continually being charged.

As another warning, another scam company (i think its savings2go) will temporarily charge your account for $8.00 if you agree to pay the $1.00 fee to use the retail website. You have to wait about a week for this $8.00 fee to disappear before you can call the company to cancel the service, or they will start charging you monthly. This has been a tremendous hassle and i wouldn't wish this upon anybody.

I did not call the number but looked at the ad because of the price. It is currently running on the Milwaukee Wisconsin Craigslist. I have had ads of mine scammed and they are replaced with too good to be true prices. So I had to take a look at this one. Since it did not sound legitimate I googled the number and found the numerous responses. It did not give an exact address but the address it suggests is not an ideal area, however the price is still too good to be true. It's people like this who give the real listers a bad name. I say flag it!
