This number is listed on craigslist as a contact for a home for rent/rent to buy distress....looks like a company or directory that matches you with houses behind on mortgage or about to foreclose (?) I was going to call them tomorrow to find out, but wanted to search the number online first to make sure its not a scam.

I think it is a scam.  The lastest craigslist post lists a town that I can't find on the map!

I called the number and they wanted me to pay $1 for a three day trial then I could cancel if I wanted to, and they will give me a web adress and pass code to the houses for forecloser..though she gave me a number for customer service 800-806-2710 I told her that I needed to talk it over with my husband and she says she would wait, and asked me what is stopping me from making my mind up. I got off the phone with her and googled the number and it says its a scam...it looks too good to be true :( I called about another house and they wanted like $290 for the adress and passcode...mabye she says its a 3 day trail cause you can't cancel on sunday cause its only open mon-friday 8-5...I wish it were for real though i am afraid to take that risk

Yes it is a scam.  RealtyPartners is the guilty party.
