- Spike replies to Michael| 1 replySame here. Same amount around the same dates/ Only online purchase was easynews and abe books. I suspect one or the other has a leak in their security.
- SamI was charged twice by ID SAFE for $429. First time it was on 12/31/2007. I disputed the charge, got my money back. Today on 2/14/2008 I looked at my statement and again I see the same f**ing charge from ID SAFE for $429.
Please somebody shut down their merchant account or can somebody stop it?- Caller: ID SAFE
- OrionVery similar thread on same topic here: https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/8882616045/3#phd5uWc-zzQALRQjKPffycw

- jefffreceived the same charge on chase-visa-dated 1/14. $429--called chase and they removed charge--person I spoke with put me on hold-called number and told me it was disconnected.
- mooseI still can not figure out how they got my cc number other than online shopping. I never got a phone call from this number.
I found out because I charged airline tickets and Continental called me to say the charge would not go through.
Chase bank (mastercard) knew about the fraud because they had a hold on my account for online and phone transactions. I was still able to use the card for purchases in person. Chase immediately cancelled the card.
Here's the fun part. I have now made it my mission to repeatedly call this number and speak with the "customer serivce" woman. I ask her how she got my number, how she is going to like jail (she says she is not going to jail because she is 'magic'), what she is going to think when the police show up and arrest her - things like that. Sometimes when the answering machine picks up, I simply press the pound key until the time expires.
I figure that it costs them to receive these calls, so I am going to make as many as possible until I get bored with them. - tk| 2 repliesmy account just had two ID SAFE debits of $429.00, one on 2.8.08 and one on 2.20.08. haven't ever used paypal; my only online purchase was at the vermont liberty tea company. called chase to cancel my card and will fill out fraudulent charge report tomorrow.
- Spike replies to tk| 1 replyHappened again. This time on Citi MC Business card. What a pain. You'd thunk these CC Cos would have it together by now. This has been going on for over a month. Doesn't say much for the Secret Service either, does it?
- DREW replies to SpikeI received the same charge on the 19th for the amount of 429.00
"ID Safe" - DREW replies to Spike429.00 any one know what it is?
- johnHad the same $429 from ID SAFE 1/18. I have security overkill on my computer. It's hard to believe I've been compromised by someone stupid enough to run this scam out of their home. I don't use pay pal, but perhaps a breach at amazon.com?
- Caller: ID SAFE NV
- STsame thing just looked over my statement and on 1/22 ID SAFE charged me $429 I called the CC company and they are taking off the charge. I never got a phone call from this company and wouldn't give out my number anyway. I have bought stuff from amazon and used paypal.

- Len replies to Ed B| 7 repliesI got two of these in two weeks, canceled card, etc.
You're looking for common threads. I don't use this card with PayPal...so no common element there. I did make a purchase from geeks.com early last year...and they were hit (according to the ITRC http://www.idtheftcenter.org/) in December, losing customer account and credit card info. I looked through all the ITRC-reported hacking incidents, and this was the only one I knew for sure.
Obviously, salespeople and waiters handle cards. I live in the Seattle area, and made a business trip to NYC last August. - David G. replies to LeslieI got the same charge of #429 and reported it to chase (visa) cancelled card etc.
- Rick M replies to Ed BI got 3 charges from ID Safe, and yes, I did use PayPal on February 6 and 16. The first charge from ID Safe was February 8 - 2 days after I used PayPal, and the last 2 were February 16 - same day as I used PayPal.
- Chris Casquilho replies to Ed BI did get the ID Safe Charge - different # 800-597-5148 out of Nevada, maybe. I have a PayPal account linked to this card, but haven't purchased anything with it lately.
