- brandiI received a phone call form this number at my place of employment a few days ago, a very rude and angry woman told me that they were trying to collect a debt from a online payday loan that was delinquent. knowing that i had no online payday loans, i started trying to get as much info as i could, she told me she couldn't give me any information and tried to et me to start a payment plan after i told her no that i would contact the cop to find out my options she threatened to prosecute. after two days of researched i called back trying to get any info i could on the company the lady could only give me the name of the company that the were collecting for , jhs marketing , but no contact info i search the web to find disconnected numbers and a web site that only gives social media as a contact

- helpful| 2 repliesI talked to a lady at this number and she was so helpful. I was upset because I did not remember the loan but she gave me all the info and let me research it. I verified with my bank that I got the loan on the date she gave me. I think if you just call and talk to them they will work with you. She also told me if it was on my credit they would delete the tradeline like it was never even there! I also got a confirmation number of my payment and they will be sending me a letter proving this is paid. I hope everyone can have the same kind of experience :)

........................THIS IS A SCAM...........................................
If you call that "Lady" she will be helpful alright. She will help remove the money from your account. Tell her that in order for you to consider any unknown alleged debt, you will need written verifiable validation to include all proof that they posesses and verifiable proof of any signed contract that may exist with the Original Owner of the Debt. Ask the the date of the last activity or last payment made on the alleged account. Demand proof of their legal right to claim and collect the alleged debt in your state. They have 5 days to provide this "written" information via usps and you have 30 days to consider it or dispute it. Don't let them BS you saying that they don't have the information or don't have to provide it. They must provide it in accordance with the laws of the FDCPA. If they do not, they have violated the FDCPA laws and are SCAMMING YOU...
Do not offer a single penny, dispute their claim and the Alleged debt, and ask for their Physical as well as mailing address in order to send your Cease and desist Certified with Signature required letter. - wcaga| 1 replyNRS 888-622-0222 look up that one on this website, they have changed their number.

- helpful replies to kevinwow. you must have serious paranoia. It's not always that serious. They are legit. It was on my credit it was MY debt I paid it and I can validate it too. I just thought I would post to be helpful to others since there was nothing but NEGATIVE comments. They also mentioned the number thing because that was the number on my credit report (888-622-0222) it was changed because of the scams with the foreigners. There will always be scams that is no doubt but just research the info and get the proof and then you can take care of it. They let me research and call back once I found all the information. I even have a letter proving this. They were professional and worked with me so I am thankful for that.

- JulThis is a legitimate phone call. I decided to call and the man who was in charge of my account told me exactly why he was calling (which is debt collection) and the company who turned over my account to them (which was Appliance Wearhouse). At first I was leary calling the number after reading a lot of the posts on this web site, but they gave me all correct information on the amount owed to Appliance Wearhouse and answered all of my probing questions satisfactorily. After getting off the phone with them I called Appliance Wearhouse to cross check all of the information I was given and to make sure they had handed my account over to them, which was all true.
My advice, if you are unsure, do your own research. Don't just trust people right off the bat and hand over your credit card number. However, don't completely discount the messages either, this could futher damage your credit standing and result in legal action if it is true, or it can clear up mistakes if any were made. Whatever the case, I had no issue with the service I received from calling, they are helpful and will work with you if you can't pay the full amount right away.- Caller: NRS

- Beverly NixonThis is the message I received as a text:
"Your account will be debited tomorrow for $195.00. Call to change date or arrangement. If no call we will take this as your authorization. 888-622-2030"
So I called the 888 number and received the an automated message "call did not go through" , I tried the number that the message was sent from 1-229-255-2752 and received another automated message "No route exists." My fear is that by calling the number I've given them access to my phone - is that possible?- Caller: Not Known

- jThey texted me as well with same message as the comment above mine. It may be a legitimate debit collection company but they have no right to use scare tactics to get you to return their phone calls. There's no way they can debit my account for anything because I don't have a bank account in my name so this is a bunch of bull.
- No DummyReceived a text from 530 269 8066 saying: "Notice! We will debit your scheduled payment of 105.32 on Friday, June 28 2013. Call 888-622-2030 to confirm or if need to change the date or amount."
Not calling either number, this is not true. - This should be illegalI got the same messege as no dummy the same amount and everything!!
I wont be calling either and if they take anything out ill be filing with my bank for a fraudulant charge!- Caller: 888-622-2030

- linda roberts| 1 replybeware of this company -- i was paying a payday loan off and was scheduled to have my last payment of $75 taken on 08/15/2013 and then on the 9th of august $125 was taken, then on the 13th of august another $150. the $125 was mailed to me in a check and the $150 was stopped by my bank. then on 08/16/2013 another $275 was taken and so i have been working on getting this back and in the mean time the $125 check that they sent to me via fed ex was returned NSF. this company is a problem and i would beware of it. dont give you checking or debit card numbers. i am going to cancel my debit card today and they say the $275 will be released and the $125 is being western union to me but right now i am out $400 dollars if they do not come through. very stressful.

- ScruffyIf you don't make contact with the collection agency they will eventually leave you alone. There is a statute of limitations they have to adhere to. Depending on what type of debt (excluding student loans) they will eventually just be written off. If you make any kind of contact by phone, letter or email the time starts over. You should know what debts you have and who owns them. Work directly with those companies listed on your credit report ONLY. Join a credit reporting service and make sure you keep tabs on your score and your debts. That way, there will never be any anonymous calls made to your phone. Don't pick up the phone if you don't know the caller.
Just some friendly advice from someone who's been there, done that and worked in collections before.- Caller: national recovery services
