This person claims to be a student loan forbearance program agent. They are scammers wanting your information. I.e.) Social number etc. don’t give! I have no loans so they messed up calling me.

They called and left me a voicemail about student loans that I have (which I do), however I never emailed or called anyone about forbearance of those loans or anything. Called and the woman answered and said I submitted an inquiry for that and would not tell me when she received this supposed inquiry. She then hung up on me. I called again and a man answered with the same stupid spiel and I again asked, when did you get this inquiry and he said “You have a great day ma’am I’m going to disconnect the line”. I guess when you’ve worked as a debt collector like myself, this kind of stuff becomes humerous to you lol. Scams R’ Us

Claim to be calling regarding student loans but doesn’t mention the company they supposedly represent. It is common knowledge that student loan forbearance has ended under the Federal Government’s pause during the pandemic. Scammers are taking advantage of that information making random calls looking for new victims to fleece.

Scammer Jason left a voicemail claiming my forbearance ended on September 30th. Odd that’s not what the letter from the US Department of Education said.

I got a voicemail from someone named Jason claiming to be from the "Student Loan Department" (I think that's what he said?) telling me my student loan forbearance ended in September and I'm already past the due date to file paperwork to avoid consequences...never had a student loan, however. I called them back to tell them they had the wrong number and the woman responded, "so you don't have any student loans that require assistance?" I said no and began explaining the message I received and she hung up mid sentence.
