- Abe| 1 replyThe call came in from "No Caller ID". The woman claimed to be Megan Barnes with Elite Process Servers. She was asking me to get a message to someone I know to tell her that there has been a civil complaint filed against her and the documents are going to court tomorrow. If my friend wants to respond before they go to court, she should call attorney Patricia Lewis at 888-627-1989 within a couple of hours. "Megan" also provided a case number, a birth year and the address to which she has been attempting to deliver the notice. If you google "Elite Process Servers", you'll find similar stories attached to different phone numbers.

- Kat replies to AbeScam! REAL process servers don;t call in advance and they don't give you the option to pay your way out of being served, which is what "Megan" will tell your friend if she/he calls her back. Block the number if you can and if not, just don't answer calls from unknown phone numbers.
- JustineSounds like the same type if call. Scared me. Now I feel better it is scam.

- RachelGot the same call! Provided a "case number" (tried to look it up and got nothing!), as well as the attorney's name, Samantha Clark (Googled this as well and no such attorney!). Called me to tell me they tried to serve my husband and to please call the attorney because they were trying to give him a court summons. Sounds like a scam to me!!

- TooSmartForThemI received a vm from 657-262-3560 from a woman who didn't state her name, but said she was with "County Document Legal Services". She stated legal court documents were attempted to be delivered, but were returned and to avoid further legal troubles, call Attorney Darlene Peterson's office at 1-888-627-1989 and reference a case number. After searching through Google on both numbers, the "Attorney" name and "business" I called the 1-888 number. A man answered from IVS answering service and asked for the case number. When I asked what company this was again (buying myself time to Google it while on the phone) he got a little frustrated and placed me on hold. After being on hold for about a minute or so, he gets back on the line saying "do you have that information I asked you for?". I let him know that I sure do, but I want to know information about the company reaching out to me. He then hung up on me. Surprise - the answering company came up with nothing either. Complete SCAM!

- NotFallingForIt| 1 replyGot a call from a blocked number. Woman left a message stating she was calling on behalf of County legal process service division and they were retained to deliver legal documents for me to at an address they have on file but documents have been rejected. To avoid complications at court I need to speak with attorneys office. Also said I will be speaking to a case manager by the name of Jake Anderson his telephone number is 888-627-1989. Said when calling back to give my case number. They did not what state, what county or the attorneys name. I called the number given and it is answered by woman saying IVS can I hold. Scam alert!

- HannahI received a call a few days ago and the caller id showed unknown number. They left a message, a woman left the message, she did not give her name, she made the same threats and said the same thing about court documents had been returned unsigned and they told me to call their attorney's office, left the 888-627-1989 phone number along with a case number. I had no idea what she was talking about, in her message, she did not state her name, what this was regarding and did not give the name of the so-called attorney. I called the police department and they said no case numbers in our state begin with a numerical value and the sergeant ran my name in case there was something I was unaware in a civil case and my name was not in their data base. He also gave me the link to their data base. The sergeant then looked up the 888 number and said that it has been reported as a scam and there were reports that people had lost money to the scammers already. Anyone, can look up their name in the county they dwell in and he also said, the way this woman left a message and how they went about it, is not a legal procedural way that any courts conduct business. Whomever these people are who are running this scam. YAHWEH Rebuke and Bind them all, May they loose all things they have gained in monetary value from their wickedness, May they be fully exposed, and May YHWH Avenge these injustices that comes from their hands, in YESHUA Name.
