I have been called by this number every night for a while, and I usually don’t answer it because they are calling on my home phone number that’s part of my cable/internet bundle and I never give this number out.
The man calling asked to speak to me by name, knew what Health insurance company I use (and then said he was working with them).  He said something about back and knee pain (which I have).  The caller had a very heavy Indian accent (which I’m not saying that automatically means he’s a Scammer), but I felt uncomfortable talking to him at 7:30-8:00pm and also didn’t trust him. Blue Cross/Blue Shield doesn’t do cold calling, but I’m calling them tomorrow to ask if they gave out my information to anyone. When I looked up this number, it said it was AMA Insurance Company and that’s also what the caller ID said. I told the man that I don’t like to be called at night and to please not call me again.
Also, one of the things (when I looked it up) said it was only for physicians and retired physicians, so I just didn’t trust them. I will call my insurance company (BCBS) tomorrow and ask them if they know anything about this. I don’t want to be rude to a legit person, but this caller did not seem legit. I also unplugged my phone!

I work in a doctor's office & answer, because it comes up as the AMA.  A foreign sounding person asks for the same unknown person. I have told them 3 times this is a business, there is no one here by that name & to stop calling.  Just now, they called again: as soon as I said hello, an automated voice said "goodbye" and the call was ended.
The AMA needs to know they're number is being spoofed.
