five minutes ago - caller states legal action for fraudulent activity - call right back before proceedings begin - then said "have a nice day"

Just got same call. Called back. Person with accent in noisy background said Social Sec. Office. Called SS Office. First thing recorded message said was beware of calls from fraudulent numbers by scammers.

Person who answered the phone at this VERY noisy background identified himself as "Officer Victor Frank" of the Social Security Administration. His accent was very thick (Indian) and when I couldn't understand what he was saying and asked him to repeat himself several times, he became irritated. When I asked him for his office number to call him back directly rather than the toll-free number originally given in their voicemail, he said the toll-free number WAS his office number. When I said it was not his office number and I wanted to call him back directly on a non-toll-free number, he began yelling at me and told me I was "an idiot." I laughed and responded that he was a liar. He hung up on me. Oh, well.

Someone (male) left a message on my phone today saying something like "Illegal activity has been detected on your computer.  Call us before . . . ."  (Before they report you, I think.)

Said I had to press #1 to get my refund because they are closing...didn't state who they are with.

This number has called me several times today, looks like another scammer from these messages!  I have now blocked the number.

I have received 6 calls today stating a refund is owed to me. Zero info, no agency or company noted. I blocked them and they still get through. Calling cell and land line.

Called on 23 May 2019. Left a voice mail after we did not answer. The gist of the message was that an office has closed and we needed to call 877-841-4301 to get a refund.

Called 4x yesterday.  The bit about "getting a refund."  Total scam all over the Internet.  Stay clear.
