Claiming a firm has a formal claim against me. Pretty sure it's bogus, but they claim they have an address to serve me a formal complaint. I have nothing outstanding on my credit report that I'm unaware of, so this should be good.

These calls are 100% fake. These people are committing fraud and should be reported. If they call you again, let them know that you know what they are doing is illegal and you are reporting them to your local police and your state's Attorney General. Process servers DO NOT call ahead to verify information.

The original number that calls is 607-260-0655. You call back and get a rough  voice saying they are and Investigator and to NOT leave a message and to hang up. They leave a voice mail stating to call 1-877-254-3445, the company is FSC, when you get a person, they claim to be from Waterman and Associates and leave the same number 877-254-3445. It is a scam to scare and get money. Don't fall for it. They will also find people related to you and threaten them. Report them...
