we get harassing continuous phone calls but they refuse to mail us any information about what we owe, how much we owe or to whom. they just say:  Send money.

We get messages left on my daughters cell phone asking us to call to this number. They do not say who they are except that they want to help us prepare our taxes. they give a claim number to reference but no company name or info. The caller ID comes up 000-000-0000. When I try to call them to tell them they have the wrong number, no one answers.

We get messages left to call this # asking for someone who we do not know.  We can never get ahold of anyone.

I have received 10 or more calls in the last few weeks on my mobile number.  A computer voice identifies itself as Credit Smart, with a message for "Jason P Cobb" (a person unknown to me) gives a case number and talks about tax deadline of 31 Mar, then asks me to call back to 1.888.662.1778.  So I recorded a computerized message saying "Hello, Credit Smart the phone number you are calling for case number XXXXXX involving Jason P Cobb is incorrect, please stop calling."  Then I called the number back and a muffled woman's voice simply said, "hello".  I played the message 3 times but I think they hung up after the first.

Just received a call from someone claiming to call from Credit Smart with a case no. Hmmmm....I do not return calls to something I do not know about. This is a SCAM!!

I almost forgot....I received the same type of call on Friday, but a different phone no. Beware.....SCAMMERS!!

Just received a call from them again a few minutes ago. This recorded call said the same thing as to what you wrote. SCAM!!

I recieved the same call, they give me a reference # but I havent answered the calls, I dont know who they are and know as a fact I dont owe them anything, They are scammers, because as I was told a few wks ago, if it is legit they would mail out information to us and not demand money over the phone. I almost got scammed a few weeks ago with money they insisted i sent them or they would send the Sherriff, well I called my constable and again, she said that, If it was legit, it would be handled through proper paperwork, that they were trying to scam me, be careful...

I have received a couple of computerized calls to my cell phone claiming to be Credit Smart (agency?) with a claim # insisting I call back to the 888 number mentioned on this blog.  They started calling several weeks back but never left a message until recently.  Left 2 messages in two days.  Second one was more threatening saying there was little or no time left and court action would be taken.  I will not respond to ANY phone calls claiming I owe money.  Legitimate claims should be documented and received by mail.  How do you get this to stop!

Multiple "very important" calls for (name) from someone with Credit Smart, provides claim number and offers balance transfer relief program.  Leaves number to call back.  Over and over and over.  Never answer, never will.  This has been going on for many months.

I have gotten the same calls from 888-662-1778 and 888-380-3516 at least once a day.  A computerized voice says my husbands name then  they identify themselves as CREDIT SMART, they leaves a case # then say to call then back.

So i took the opportunity to call them back and let them know that they need to stop calling, because we are aware that there just a bunch of scamers and that i was looking at all there information about them on the internet as we speak and then hung up.

same thing.  blocked them on my phone.   going on 2 weeks now.

this is a over seas scam company they just get you to wire them money not a real company the attorneys generals office has had tons of complaints and it is on the federal trade commission fcc scam list

This number has been calling my ex husband claiming to be a creditor for US Bank saying we owe them 2000$ and that they have already contacted the local judicial system and have started a case against us and so on and my ex was stupid enough to pay some of it and says I need to as well but if its a scam then theres no way im going to pay them a dime...

888-662-1778. Calls and leaves recorded message with case number. They are calling my Mother's home at that. Say they are trying to keep me out of court. When I request documentation of the debt, they say my lawyer can get that in court, which by the way, is being filed in a county that I have never lived in. When I let them know I wanted to record the call, they hung up. I called back and informed them right away that I would be recording the call. They tell me they want to keep my case out of court if I pay this debt. I told them I don't know what the debt is because I never lived in the county they say it's being filed in. Although, they DID have the last 4 digits of my SS#. I googled them. Found they were one of many internet companies being sued. When I mentioned that ... they hung up too. I am getting the same calls that you are getting. Also from the other number 888-844-0131, Kevin Scott! I do believe that my computer was Hacked! I had to restart from the beginning. Watch out what you click on!
