West Asset Management, Inc calls from this number.

I have received several phone calls from West Asset Management.
The first is a recorded message to call them about a debt collection.

When I called the number, without an introduction, the person answering the call asked to speak to someone named Ophelia.
I explained that there was nobody here by that name and could they please not call me again.
Before I could complete my request the person hung up.
I called back hoping to speak to someone to complete my request. I was told that I would be put on the do not call list and again, before I could complete my questions to them they hung up.
I called again and decided not to pursue the issue any further and hung up the phone.
Within less than a minute I received another call from the same individual who claimed his name was Mr. Briggs again asking to speak to an Ophelia.
I told him again that there was nobody by that name here and I was angry that he was calling me again about this.
He said he called because I hung up on him twice.
I explained that I did not want to pursue the issue and that I hung up immediately after I dialed.
He again said I called and hung up twice and implied that I was lying.
He was disrespectful and rude. He was trying to upset me through argument.
When I told him he was disrespectful he said "I'm an adult and your an adult, goodbye" and again hung up.
I have absolutely no business with this company and they appear to be fishing at my expense.
If you search for my phone number which they called you get nothing but references to my business.
I suspect that this is not the first time they have called this number to fish for a debtor. but only have a record of this particularly annoying and frustrating series of events
I was harassed and I did not even have a debt that they needed to collect.

The caller identified himself as Mr. Briggs.

We received a call, well, a voice message, on our system from over the weekend.  The message seemed automated, but left the number for us to call back about "our accout number" and it gave an account number which matched nothing we have.

Be WARNED - if you RECEIVE calls asking for information about your accounts, DO NOT GIVE IT OUT - they HAVE the information if they are your true account carriers.  If they have it, they need to verify it with you by giving you the information and you confirming it, not you giving it to them and them "confirming it".

Message on my voicemail:
"Hello, what you have here is my fourth call.  This is Joe Strickland, you can call me back at a toll free number, 888-662-7547.  Thank you."

This was the first call I had received from this number.

They called today, 02.09.09, and when I answered an automated message instructed me to call about a collections debt. Knowing we had no debt in collections I called to ensure there wasn't something I was unaware of. When I called back the operator asked if I was Melissa Lang. I stated No. He asked if I knew a Melissa Lang, and I said no. He polietly said okay, what number did we contact you at? I was a bit puzzled, since he immediately asked for a person by name I assume they have caller ID. I gave him my number, he apologized and offered to remove my number from the list. He never asked me for my name, or any personal info at all.

I receive at least one of these calls a week. If I do try to call the number I get an open line. I know I do not have anything in collections, so I tend to ignore the call, but they are very irritating - especially late at night.

For the last two weeks I have been getting calls on my cell phone from this number. They call 7 or 8 times a day. The do not leave a message. Does anyone know who the are and what company the claim to be collecting for?

What I do is I have a whistle next to my phone and I tell them to hold on I'll get him then I blow the hell out of it into the reciever after a few of that I haven't got any more calls

I didn't receive the calls, but my friend did and they have called her twice looking for me.  How they got her number and why they are calling her and not me, I have no idea?  I do owe $25 to AT&T, for which I am disputing because I don't know what I owe them for and when I call AT&T, I get transferred to various departments and no one seems to be able to tell me anything.  All I know is that it's something from November 2009 and the first time that I knew I owed it was when I received a letter in the mail 2 weeks ago, which is when I tried calling AT&T.  My home number and address are listed with AT&T and haven't changed, so they should have handed this information over to a debt collector and don't know why they would be calling my friend instead of me.  My friend gave me the number and everytime I try calling it, I receive a message that all representatives are busy and then the call suddenly ends.  I've tried calling at least a half dozen times.  They want to not call me, harrass my friend, but can't answer their own telephone?  This over $25?!  Really?!

They been calling almost everyday, but never leave a message, have no idea who it is and will not call back since they don't leave a message, not sure if it's even for us that they are calling for

lol. way to go. i'm too chicken. for now i think i will just block this phone number. who needs extra heartaches. btw. damn them to hell.

These people keep calling a friend of mine asking to speak to my husband.She tells them he is not there but they keep calling anyhow,she had to messages on her answering machine when she got home this evening.I have no idea why they have her number or why they would think my husband would be there.We used to live in the same apartment complex,but she moved several months ago.She got their number and after looking it up on line and getting information from others who have had the same experience I now have their number and they will be hearing from me.

They are calling to collect debts for hospital bills, etc.

This number called my celphone at 3:40 today with no vm. I don't know who this person is and how they got my number.

These obnoxious, impudent people continue to bother us day and night.

We're planning to send them a zeta to take care of them....

hung up when I told her that my boss won't call her back before I could ask her to take our # off their list
