    Just got hit with this "new" fake virus warning.
    I am running Linux Mint and it was easy to close the popup.
    But I could not "prt-scr" to get a screen capture, so used a utility to get it.

    The domain is new and was registered this morning a few hours ago.
    "Creation Date: 2016-09-06T08:13:53.0Z"
    The owner hides behind a proxy service in Panama.
    The "home page" looks like a parked-domain page of NameCheap, who happens to be its registrar.

    The site is hosted on servers in Georgia (USA), so getting it taken down should be quick.
    One very bad thing is that these criminals have a security certificate for https: and it will have to be revoked.
