- ROEThis is definately a
TD BANK NUMBER. Got a insert the mail with my checking statement w/this number on it to call in reference to your overdraft protection.......You must call it by August 14, 2010 because of the new regulations!!!. - CustServDept| 1 replyHello I am from TD Bank and I just need some basic information from you to verify your identity. If you can all provide your name, address, SSN, DOB, signature, all credit card numbers, and bank account numbers, pins, and routing numbers I can verify it's you and tell you about this AWESOME overdraft fee service we have where we charge you overdraft fees for every transaction no matter what! Please note, I also have a brother who is a Nigerian prince and needs to transfer millions of dollars to your account, but I need an advance from you out of good faith. Thank you all for your time and I look forward to steal...I mean, verifying your account information.
Scam or no scam, sounds like you're not missing out if it's legit anyhow.- Caller: Super Reliable People Co.
- SarahI got a call from this number stating they were from TD Bank. They asked for my social security number.
- Caller: TD Bank
- mike| 2 repliesThis number is a scam. It is not TD bank. Call the FTC and file a complaint.
- StephenI've been getting a call from this number every day for the past week on my cell phone. They normally call me between 5:00 and 7:00 EST, and leave no messages. To this day I will only answer calls to my phone if I know the person or if they leave a voicemail, which the latter has never occured, and I've yet to answer when they call.
To those sayings its about overdraft issues, I laugh at you. My checking account always has more than $50 USD in it, and there's only me that can access my account.
I don't know whom on this site to listen to, but I know my gut tells me to ignore this number.- Caller: unknown; never answered call.
- TheVermonterI have been receiving these calls, too. I never answer them (I am simply too busy to answer unidentified calls...) but here is the most recent log:

And I don't even have a TD bank account... :) - Tess CristenThis phone number calls my residence almost every night, and will not cease after declining to speak to them.
- Caller: Unknown
- dogshowerCalls me once every night ranging in time from 6pm to 10pm. I never answer.
- jenny bHi I received a call from this number last night at 7:48pm. Did not answer and suspect this is just one of many calls I will receive.
- dontcallmeThey want you to say "yes" in some context so they can say they have permission to exempt you from the new banking law changes which PROTECT YOU from certain fees and charges. IF you give them an inch they'll put you back under the old system of higher fees & charges.
Make SURE you clearly say you want: NO more calls; and NO you will NOT accept any changes they want to make to your rights under the new banking regulations.- Caller: TD Bank Contractor
- caseyThis is legit. They just are giving us overdraft options.
- Caller: TD Bank
- GrinwithinI got a call last week looking for my TD Debit Card#. I told the guy where to go, then called and reported the incident to TD Bank.
TD Bank is investigating, they are not placing these calls. They welcomed my call and said that few calls have come in, but not enough for the authorities to make it a priority. My recommendation is to give TD the info they need to make it stop.
Even though I put an end to it, I got another call just now.... I guess if at first you don't succeed.....- Caller: Unknown
- Nik| 1 replyI finally decided to pick up the phone. The guy said he was calling to go over my option on the new overdraft options. I asked if I could do it at the local branch and he said that is fine to do.
Asking for SSN is typical: If you call your bank for a password reset on your online banking, they will ask you your social and other personal info to confirm your identity, so don't get your panties in a bunch over this. More then likely, the people getting these calls (like me) have not picked their options and once they do the calls will stop coming.
I am not advocating giving your info on the phone, I am just saying that if you want the calls to stop, pick your option and the calls will probably stop.- Caller: More then likely TD Bank, but don't chance it
- MJR| 1 replyYes, it's TD Bank, and yes, they are trying to sell you something. Why else would they be so relentless?
- Stacey T.Soooo sick of these morons calling my home! And, if it's TD Bank, then it's for my stepson who moved out nearly 2 yrs. ago!!!!!!!!!!
- Caller: 800 Service
- LikestoLaugh replies to CustServDeptI like you, that's hilarious! Thanks for the laugh!
- AnonymIf they are legit....why don't they leave a message saying call this number to go over your options. Why do they hide their name? Also, I read the paperwork that came with my credit/debit cards regarding the changes - one of the options is to do nothing...in which case you will not have overdraft protection - if you try to buy something and there is not enough cash in the account the transaction is denied - that is preferred in my opinion - rather then having them cover the overdraft and charge an outrageous fee....I don't believe these calls are legit or they would leave a message.

- IharrassScammersI have called them about 387 times and gathered that it is about 16 people working under 25 different names and they all read off of cards and have answers to all of your questions they are not TD Bank they are liars and cheats trying to make easy money off of the dim witted but not to fear i have my comps auto caller calling them 24 hours a day and hanging up just to bother them.
- Caller: FAKE TD
- Red replies to mike| 1 replyNo it actually is TD, its not a scam. No personal information has to be given they just explain the new regulations to you. Why you thought it was a scam is beyond me .
- Brian V. replies to Redyou're an idiot Red. call the number at the end they ask for you checking account information. which they wouldn't need, all they would actually need is you name and address to find you in the system if they actually had a system but its a scam so its not.
