- tiggerwweI got a phone call around 1:00 today July 16th from something call International Magazine company. They said that I was entered a contest and I will be receiving a watch and gave me a magazine sale that cost me 79.63. I was a little skeptical of this deal but with along with it anyway. After I got off the phone with them I told my husband about it and I he told me that it might be a scam and that I should call them back and cancel so I call the number and it said this number cant be reached try again later. I was mad so my husband and I went to my bank and talked to someone there and he put a stop payment with that and he got me the number and I called them and they told me they will call me back 5 mins or I can call them back if they don't call me. so I went home and waited and never got a call. So I called them back and explained to they I want my money back and I don't want the magazines. They said they will call me back and they did but the guy I talked to keep offering me different stuff and saying that I can't cancel because they asked me not to cancel when they first talk to me. The guy keep telling me that since I didn't want that they could charge me for a different magazine plan but I didn't want that I wanted my money back and I kept screaming at the guy asking for my money back. I even asked for a manager but they wouldn't give me one. The guy finally said that he will cancel but it will talk 3-7 days until I get my money back. I called them back to make sure and at first they said they will have someone call me back but never did. I call them again and ask for a manager they didn't give me a manager but did tell me it was canceled and I will be getting my money back 3-7 days. I filed a complaint on this international magazine company to the Better Business Bureau in Florida.
- BrettI recieved a call repeatedly from this magazine company. they never left any voicemails but repeatedly called and called. i finally just gave in and i haven't gotten any magazines and its nearly 2 months now.
- Mrs WMy son received multiple phone calls from this # and he told them he was 16 several times and they still called then they told him he had a chance to win a million , diamond watch and free magazines. It wasn't until my husband looked at our son's bank account until we found out that they had taken $79.73 out of his account. My husband called them and told them that our son was only 16 and they had no right to take the money. The man cursed my husband and hung up on him. We are cancelling his debt account to stop the charges. Hopefully our son has learned a lesson that cost $80.
- InnaI got a call from this company saying that i was entered in some million dollar sweepstakes and i could get a free watch with some magazines for only 4.60$ a week and i thought hey why not sounds good. Then I gave in my information and they took out money out of my account right away as a "security deposit" kind of thing and i got mad because no one warned me that they were gonna charge me about over 70$ monthly and right away so i called back in afew days to complain and they said that someone was going to call me back. so i waited a couple of minutes and they called me back and i told them i have to pay bills and i do not have that much money at all and they didnt care saying I made a "verbal agreement" and they already told the magazines company to send it out to me, but i can change the magazines at ANY time since i cannot cancel it. Well then I decided to try it I thought okay fine it seems like a lot of magazines for that much money so i signed up in about june, it is now almost september and do you think that i received anything? No i have not ..I am planning to give them a call tomorrrow, better business bureau and my bank =(

- Airman Cruz| 1 replyyeah... same boat as all of u. My dads a lawyer so he's helping me out, but there's info on them that i need... If anybody happens to know there physical address it would be greatly appreciated, just email me (chavenin@gmail.com). Any other kind of useful information would be awesome. I ask because i've been calling for 3 days and i don't even get an answer, all i get is a busy line. So im going to take another route, and I can guarantee they are going to get what they deserve, once I take this up with the JAG (a.k.a the legal offices of the United States Air Force). Thanx again and yeah, I've learned my lesson... but now it's their turn.

- themadmickI have a number of calls from their 813-671-7075 & 866-727-9019 numbers on my cell - never answered them since I didn't recognize the number. Tried calling both numbers back repeatedly, but they were always busy. Mon, in the mail, I receive a letter stating that I have ordered magazines from this International Magazine Company, that I have never heard of - so I googled them when I got home from work that night and saw they were connected to the strange numbers I was getting calls from last week. I called this morning, thinking it would be easy enough to straighten out, got a very rude young lady named Tara on the phone, claiming that I had placed the order on Friday. That would have been difficult, considering I wasn't home Friday until after midnight and claimed she had me on tape, placing the order.I promptly asked for her supervisor, and after 10 minutes on hold, was told that there wasn't one available and someone would call me back. And then hung up on me.I called my bank to see if what action I could take and they had already taken out 79.73 on Monday. Now, I NEVER give out bank or credit card info on the phone or on the internet,so however they got the info, it was by not so legal means. My bank told me to come and fill out an Atm dispute form and they would handle it from there. Then I called back these IMC people back, was transferred directly to x503 and spoke to someone named Nicole, who sid she was one of the supervisors. I explained the situation and told her that I had already contacted my bank, and she said just to fax the info from the bank to her, and I would have a refund within 48 hrs. So we'll see what happens this week.I also contacted the Federal Trade Commission and filed a complaint with them. I would also like to find out how they got my physical address - I just moved in the beginning of the month and my mailing address has been a PO Box for the last 2 years...

- SupremeAll of these calls are the same - Please get a hold of the Attorney General of you state to report the fraud that has occurred.
These calls are originating in Florida, so also contact Florida's Attorney General- here is the link to file a complaint:

My friend is dealing with this right now, and it would be helpful if everyone responds to the Attorney General- they have more power than the BBB.

- gregI got a call from these people the same as everyone else they told me one thing and then my account charges said another i proptly called them back said i couldnt afford to pay that much and they tried to bargan with me over the price i continuously said no just cancel it and finially the guy tells me no i cant cause i had "agreed legally" over the phone for a years worth of billing. so i told him i worked for the local congressman in my district and that i would bring it to his intention and that i would do everything i could in my power to get congress to come down on them after that i was put on hold for about 2 mins then they cancelled everything and i got a confermation number from them to of the cancellation just in case. so to anyone out there with problems from these guys just tell them your good with ur local congressman and that you will lobby to get congress to go after them then they will give in and cancel your account. i just did this like a week ago so i will have to see if they really cancelled it or not i'll keep everyone up to date on that. make sure to get a confermation number from them when you do get them to cancel they seem like the type to say ok its cancelled yet still continue to bill you.

- ricankitty replies to BrieBelieve it or not same happened here, i dont have to recount the process for wich they kinda got me to cuz is repetitive, but... You all might not remember but, when they get you into this whole magazine stuff(tooo good to be true), they're so quick at telling you stuff and dragging you into it that you dont have a chance to think!!! But believe it or not inbetween that conversation they do ask you for your account number and you, trusting them, you tell them!!! so thats how even though you get a new debit card they can still charge u thru your bank!!!! i just found that out by reading this.... It may be sad or hurtful to cancel with who you're banking with, but thats the best way to get them off of you for ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- AnonymThe same thing happened to me. Everything including the sweepstakes, the diamond, the new employee. I ordered in September and didn't notice what was happening until i checked my statements and realized that I hadn't received any magazines. I am in the process of settling this with them, my bank, and perhaps a lawyer. Don't let them do this to you.

- JasminePretty much the same as all the others but saying i had won something it was a year or so ago so i dont quite remember the full details. But u can not cancel believe me i tried they say that they have already used your word and pre ordered teh magazines and they said today becuse i am still having trouble with them that they wouldnt take it directly out but would mail me my bill and if i stil didnt pay that then they would contat a collections agency. i cant afford it and do not/ did not want it in the first place. But everyone BEWARE they are using a different number now so if you get a call from 866-394-9149 what ever you do dont answer and dont agree to anything they have been on my back and they do not leave you alone i even changed my credit card number. SO EVERYONE BEWARE OF THIS AWFUL FRAUD THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE JUST ABOUT TO GET OUT OF. Remember the number 866-394-9149

- HardworkerWell the same happened to me when I received a call right after hurricane Ike and was told I was a million dollar runner up and were going to give me a fabulous deal in magazines for four years and needed my credit card to do it. I was uneasy with it but fell to the scam due to their supervisor calling me and sounding authentic. I was also told of a buyer's club membership but opted out of it. Later for two straight months my account gets charged for the magazines and the buyers club and something else. I changed my card number and now I am being charged again months after stopping the last fraudulent charges from previous months. I tried calling back to that number and others to see what the [***] was happening.
