Called today stated that by state law they were informing us of a lawsuit due to fraud, gave a phone number bet you could call to speak to a live person but never once did they say who the call was for.

Same. Said they had a summons and gave a fake law firm. This is fake. Block the number.

Have had a number of call from this number she said her name was Lynn Scott she told me that a lien and judgment was going to be put in action for malicious defrauding a financial institution. Lynn Scott was her name she never  would give me a company name and did not want to answer my quesyions .

Well in order to put a lien and a judgement, they would have to go to court and prove their case.  Something they can't do which is why they are trying to extort money from you.

I received a call from someone that said their name is Chris Jackson, asking if I knew (insert my little sister's name) and then asked if I had her number. At first he said it's in regards to a loan. Then he said he is with the law office of Walker and Goldstein in the fraud allegations department. I told him I don't feel comfortable giving out her (my sister and never said she was my sis) number after he didn't have the correct last 4 of her number, but told him I would relay the message.

Long story short, it's just a bill collector probably and trying to scare someone back to calling them. But darn, he didn't have to call at [***] morning. Lol.

And you may know who it is... Just after a little search there is no law office of Walker and Goldstein to be found. Scammers or debt collectors.

Yep, obvious debt collection extortion scam.  I suggest that you make reports on them at the 2 government agencies that I provided links to.

Same as everybody else. Lynn Scott called and Said my daughter used my name on a loan and now I will end up in court, with liens filed, etc.  All I need to do is pay the balance, no interest, no penalties and all will be good.  Walker & Goldstein is supposed to be the law firm but i find no record of them.

In any event,

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

Note that the US Supreme Court in the Case of HENSON ET AL. v. SANTANDER CONSUMER USA INC., has recently ruled that the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act do not apply if the creditor owns the debt in question.  As a practical matter this probably won't effect the kinds of scam debt collectors who often show up on 800notes.  The scam collectors don't give you any information about themselves so it is impossible to know whether or not they in fact "own" the debt in question.  Most do not send debt validation letters and many often say they are collecting for someone else.  So, make the complaint anyway if they are bothering you.  Let the FTC sort it out.

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

It looks like they are not listed at that address.  Eastern Asset Management, was there, which we know to be shady.  Digiacomo & Gruss, who are tenants, look like they might be up to no good.

Automated call informing me that I had committed bank fraud and I needed to return the call by pressing. It's a scam.

Robot calls repeated threatening to go to my place of business  talk to neighbors etc   Say by law they have to notify me  don't really tell you what it's about except they want money   Was told I have" too much time on my hands" and " maybe I should get  job"(I'm employed full time tired of coming home to these messages) also they " don't care" if I report to attorney general     Very rude and ignorant

By law they have to notify you IN WRITING and MAIL the document - no email, call, etc.  Several posters have already given excellent advice about what to do.  Rude is a trademark of callers like this.

 Someone claiming to be an attorney called stating that they were filing fraudulent charges on my husband for Harris County when I called the number back they had no recollection  of his name or my name

David Ross called from this number saying that me and my son were in a lawsuit with fraud loan app.  I don't have a son and told him to quit calling my number.

They have been calling my house number and want me to pay$812 dollars to the Law Office of Walker and Goldstein. The lady had information on my car and said they woul repossessed it by Contacting my creditor to whom I pay carnotes to. They only would accept a debit card on bank account. She wouldn't give address and was very rude and hung up. I am trying to report them. Someone please help me.

Well if you want help, most of it was already posted in this thread.  All you needed to do was read it.  It looks like you ignored my post, and stopped reading before CWG40's post.  Now, after you have read all of that, and after you have used the links to actually learn what you should already know about debt collection, if you still have questions stop back and we will answer them for you.
