They say they have a delivery for you but its a collection company

Caller identifies herself as Kathy Walker, regarding "a matter sent down to my office for consideration of legal action..."  Complete nonsense...put on block list

I have been receiving calls from this number and by 888-461-3495 they have left messages for 2 different people none of them are me by the way and their threatening legal action, complete [***] I have a good record, watch out for these fake calls

I got a similar call complaining about lawsuit against a Derrick.  I'll leave the last name out - seems like this *might* be a collections agency - if everyone is getting calls for different people.  But then again, it might be a scam, and it's certainly not me, so I'm not calling back.

The caller only identified herself -  no company name or lawfirm identification for this 'lawsuit'.

Caller Brandon Scott matter  brought to his desk concerning legal matter or law suit. Gives case # to reference in timely manner or they may proceed without contact.  BS SCAM

A Mark Price called and said he was contacting me in reference to a matter that had been forwarded to his office.
It was consideration of legal action including the following up of a lawsuit or complaint with the court.  He said if I wished to discuss the pending actions that may default against me or if I have any questions/concerns to contact the firm ASAP.  they gave me a reference #.  They could not tell me what the matter was about and just said that someone would be out to serve me court papers today.  The call was on 11/6/2018, I'll report back if I was issued court papers...

Well you can be sure there are no court papers, but to prove it, simply call your local courthouse and ask if your name is listed as Defendant in any civil proceedings.

Left voicemail about a lawsuit and if I didn't reply within 24 hours they are seeking legal action against me. Left phone number and case number to contact them. The reason wasn't explained but the baby crying in the back ground has me calling [***] on this scam! Then the same number calls my house phone an hour later saying they are A-1 delivery service asking for me but no reason explained. Same number  888-679-5940

Called and stated that they have tried to serve me papers in regards to a legal matter and did not want to try and serve me at work so called as a courtesy to verify with legal firm my address. Called and gave ref number and sounds like a scam to collect debt over 10 years old. Threatened that they were going to process papers to sue me in 48 hours unless a settle can be reached.

Sorry. This struck me as funny. (Being sarcastic here) guess A1 is calling to get your name and address to pretend deliver their pretend documents...  ROFLMAO.  These people/frauds are hilarious!

I love it when I get calls that the "State POlice" are gonna come arrest me tour not paying nonexistent debt!  I generally either say:
-- oh good!! Tell Billy Bob I'll have BBQ and his favorite cake, and a whole jug of sweet tea waiting!! We can have a good visit before going to jailhouse!!

They generally aren't amused, but I have fun!!  They sometimes hang up, or start cussing, or just start laughing.

I got curious about these folks. They've apparently been pulling same scam, same phone #s, same names since 2014...just have several different business names they use.

It seems they buy OLD junk debt & try using threats/intimidation/embarrassment to collect. (Yeah, I know, what else is new?)

I'm sure you can find more by searching the names, especially with the Secretary of State office of CA (or whatever they call it). Don't know if CA has a licensing division you can search for the company names & principals of the companies AND IF they have/need.  licenses to do debt collections.
