Called pretending to be hoffman and associates. Called the real hoffman and associates and they said they are not affiliated with or know this man from this number claiming to work for them. He also said it was a debt from rent a center, which I have never ever made a purchase from, or rented anything from. I got off the phone and called both rent a center and the real hoffman and associates, both places stated that I do not in fact have an open case, nor a court hearing, and I also do not owe any of them any money at all, as like I stated previously, I have never been to a rent a center.

He also demanded I send him $1500 right now or he's calling the police and having me arrested, when I asked how is that possible when I have never been to a rent a center in my life, and he proceeded to yell and call me a pathetic liar who is a deadbeat and doesn't pay their bills. I pay my bills, all of them. I just don't pay debts I that are not mine.

I also got a call. Not sure what to think.  Who and where are the real Hoffman associates? I would like to call them.

There are a lot of them on the internet but none of them actually does debt collection.  You would only be harassing an innocent company.
