These people insisted that they are filing suit against me. They would not tell me what the suit is for. I don't owe any money to anyone so I assume this is a scam.

They called saying to call 888 # Barnes & Associates small claims said they mailed a letter but it was sent back. I have no idea who these people are sounds scamy to me.

According to the phone call I received, they were trying to contact my daughter about a litigation for a pending action against her. I tried to find out exactly who was bringing the suit against her and they couldn't give me any information. They said it was in Harris County which there is not a Harris County in NC.

Yes same thing happened to my husband and I they had called my mother and then they called me saying my husband had up until today to make some sort of payment or the case was going to go to court which would get anyone worried but I noticed that it seemed to be a scam right away so I played along with it for a little while and we told him we would call him back with information to take care of that bill but as soon as we got off the phone we went in and confirmed that it is a scam and my husband couldn't help it he had to call them back LOL and needless to say he didn't call back with an account number LOL he definitely told that scammer how it is but anyways yeah please be careful if you guys had a call from this number or telling you to call this number it's definitely a scam SMH

I had the same experience from Barnes and Associates at a different number.  They stated that I owed over 3K from 2006 to Citibank and that now with interest and legal fees it would be over 11K.  I told them I have never had a Citibank card and have not receive the letter that they claimed to have sent.  They also claimed this the issue had gone through seven collection agencies first.  I informed them that I will be getting a lawyer if needed and then asked for them to send me some form of documentation.  They proceeded to hang up on me.

They called my mom & brother looking for me. When I called back they refused to tell me what it was about & the man I spoke with was getting aggravated and hung up on me.   I'm going to say it's definitely a SCAM!!

Same as everyone else. Called me and even provided today's date. If I don't respond they'll move forward without my consent. No info nothing on what's it about. The number had a (951) area code but to call back that 888 number. Scammy for sure.

They have called me, my husband, both of my elderly parents and my ex husband. Since my stepdaughter and I had the same name, my ex asked which one and they hung up on him. Total scam.

They called my number regarding "Pending Action" against my mother.  I had let it go to voice mail since I was working.  Gave my mom the number and she called and they wouldn't give her any information.  Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

They would not what this is about and threatening litigation on me.
