This  telephone number from an unethical home warrany company. They imposter as important "time sensitive" mortgage information. "County Deed Records".  This company shamefully solicits home warranty coverage. Shame on them. Don't be fooled. Legitimate companies don't need to advertise /scam like this.

BS -  "Home Warranty Renewal" scam.  "This letter is to inform you that the property's home warranty, at XXXX XXXX XXX, XXX, WI, XXXXX-XXXX secured by the SECRETARY OF HOUSING & URBAN DEVELOPMENT, may be expiring or may have already expired..."  Total crap!  I don't have a HUD loan.  Don't call them back or respond in any fashion.

The notice looks legitimate. Said he was with Omega Home Warranty. I fell for it. Don't you do it too. He said his name was Ottis Maddox, when I called this morning a lady answered said she was with Sprout. They are using one number, pretending to be Home warranty companies. I've already filed a report, and next with police.

They use various company names. Omega is another one with Sprout.

Final Renewal Notice for Home Warranty Renewal received naming my Mortgage Lender only.  I called my Lender and there is no such letter that was sent to me.  My Home Hazard Insurance is impounded and I do not have a Home Warranty Insurance anymore which was with a different company several years ago.  I called the number 1-888-688-8002 stated on the letter and the representative could not tell me the name of the company I am calling. After asking him several times the name of his company, he ended up hanging up on me.

Today I received the 4th letter. The 1st one about 6 months ago. The second one referred to "something that would be to my benefit" all the way through 2021, obviously fake. 3rd letter they had fixed the error. Todays letter looked a bit more official, tear along the edges to open, FINAL NOTICE in bold centered on the front a tear out piece of paper that kind of looked like a check with no dollar amount. The "document contained colored pantograph and microprinting, the back has thermochromic ink and a watermark, real serious stuff (sarcasm). This was the phone number they asked me to urgently call. So here I am after looking it up. I'm thinking it's a scam (more sarcasm). What I thought all along.
    Thank you for confirming.

I received the same thing. And they try to make it look like it's from my actual mortgage company - by using the name on the document that looked like a check. Almost called them.. but came here first. Luckily I did.

Red flags to look for when you receive mail or a call from these people:

    - Words like "FINAL NOTICE" & "CALL IMMEDIATELY"
    - Using public information (like your mortgage lender name) as a scare tactic
    - No mention of the organizations name/logo on the mail/conversation (I had to ask!)
    - The rep made it clear I had to make a decision right there on the phone or "our existing warranty would expire", no professional company would do that. And I have no existing warranty thru Sprout. I hung up on him shortly after.

These people are preying on and misleading responsible homeowners. Don't fall for it!

I called my lender, instead of 1-888-866-8002, they confirmed it was not legitimate.

I got the same letter in the mail.  I googled the number and it lead me here.  As I suspected,  a scam.

Same as others experience of them sending “FINAL NOTICE” letters. What’s concerning is they added a picture of my place
