Text message saying I was approved for the “immunodeficiency Genetic Test” by Gene Guard.

I got the same text message - and had the same response SCAM

Did NOT respond to this text re “Immunodeficiency  Genetic Testing” by Gene Guard as much as it piqued my curiosity. I’m sure it’s a SCAM! Beware. And, again, where do we go to check the validity of phone numbers. No government agency to help us, right?!

First you need to do some research in finding out who is contacting you and why. The search engine is a great place to start and in just a few minutes I found some useful info right on their website.

How or why you got the call is where you ask your primary care provider if they know who Gene Guard is or what you can do about them. Or you can use a contact number on their website and ask them directly if they are texting/calling and ask them to stop bothering you if not interested. You document/record the call(s) and then you have something to take to the "government agency" if they persist.
