Anyone have information on (888) 688-9154

Yes I received a call from 888-688-9154.  It was cheesy.  It was a recorded message and said I wrote a bad check.  I don't even have a checking account.  It stated it was Rick Douglas Calling and gave a case number and was summing me to court.  It did not state the companies name.

Got a call from 406-203-4817 claiming I had passed a bad check, and they have tried numerous times to contact me at home, work and by phone.  So now they want me to call Rick Douglas at 888-688-9154 so I can arrange with him to get my subpoena.  If I didn't know better, (I don't write checks) I might be worried.  I started to laugh, but then I wondered about all the people that might fall victim to this real-sounding scheme.  Hope this helps someone.

Got a call today from 406-203-4817 about the same thing. Provided the 888-688-9154 and a case ref. Tried calling, kept getting hold music. Called the 406 number told this unknown woman that I trying the 888#  & couldn't get thru. A guy came, asked him if he was "Rick Douglas" he hesistated then said, "no".

It gets interesting as he tells me their collecting on a debt that I paid off in 2007. I asked why he was collecting on this debt & he became very rude & defensive, said, "I could tell it to the judge." I laughed then told idiot I look forward to the court date as I can't wait to hear his explanation to the judge as to why his company is collecting on a paid debt.

Still waiting to be serve from the threats made from Rick Douglas who keep calling my work number stating this is your final warning.

A voice message on both my office phone and my cell stating that attempts were made for a processor to serve papers to be but they returned back to the sender/case number and phone number were left with the message. Yes, I agree, it sounds very scammy.

Has anyone actually TALKED to this Abbott & Newman???   Does anyone know for sure that this is a scam??  I have been scammed before for a lot of money and don't want to go through that ever again.  Any more info would be appreciated.

My work receives calls from Rick Douglas on a daily basis with the info to serve legal papers or contact the Plaintiff at this 888 number. I looked up Abbott Newman and they are a debt collector. What I fine alittle odd is one of them is Richard Douglas Abbott. Is he using his first two names to leave messages. I have filed a complaint with FCC.

I just got a call from them, scared the heck out of me. Then I looked up the number here and elsewhere and now I find it funny. They sure put the scare in me! Hahahaha!

PLEASE dont fall for this this is a scam call the police immediately!!!!!!

Somebody left a message on my mothers phone (my old message number) stating he was a state processor. He left his name as Rick Douglas and said he needed information about where I can be reached so that he can send me legal documents. He left a case number and this phone number, 1 888 386 0143. He said that if I did not call for plantiff information that he would find me at my residence or at my work-site.

Thought I would post this because it looks like he has started using a new number. I don't like scams. Thank you for this thread, may rhe bad guys be exposed!
