called today - did not leave a message - tried calling back - answered and no response.

This is an automated call from Verizon. I just got a call from this number at 3:25 am Sunday morning - I didn't answer, but the automated system left a message on my answering service. It was Verizon's computer giving me a temporary PIN number to set up my account online. Just what I had been waiting for!!! Mystery solved!! Thank you. :) )

I too have received a call from verizon concerning my pin number at 3:28am Sunday morning awakening my wife and I. We were so frightened that there was a family emergency of some kind that warranted calling us in the middle of the night. I have attempted to complain to Verizon an so far have not gotten their attention. I will pursue this matter until I am assured they will cease this practice. I will update if and when I hear from them.

I had the same thing happen to me at 12:10am and thought something happened to my elderly mother. I am not happy because Verizon had plenty of time to call at acceptable hours and then I never got the PIN....

I got a call at that time on a Monday morning also. I am not a happy camper, since I also have elderly relatives..

I wonder if they have people from other countries working for them? Maybe they call at 3am but it's like 9pm there! haha I don't know.... My husband requested our PIN the other day and they called within 5 mins. Just like they said they would. I looked up this number because I didn't recognize it. I hope you all will be able to get it through Verizon's head to not call in the middle of the night! Those types of phone calls are really scary! :)

I called verizon for the Pin number.  Got a call.  THEN they kept calling me with this number.

I requested a pin from Verizon online and got a call back immediately but there was just silence on the line- NO PIN NUMBER! Can I now expect to be called at 3AM like people mentioned here??? Fantastic.

Why can't they just email the freaking pin number?!

Got my pin so long ago from Verizon and just got a call at 11:41pm. Will be calling them tom glad I found this website thanks everybody:)

I requested a temporary PIN from Verizon to access the MyVerizon web site. Within one minute I received a call from this number with the PIN. Fantastic!

Got a call from Verizon.  At 3AM.  Seriously?

Ah, well  it took Verizon 5 days to call with temp pin.... was I supposed to sit here for 5 days and not ans the phone as I waited for pin ?  Good old Verizon

Verizon really SUCKS! Just like the previous posts, I requested that a pin at 4:00pm and they called us at 10:00pm. What a totally bogus operation. I've had enough of their horrible customer service. I'm under no contracts, so bye,  bye, Verizon.

Isn't it kind of strange that Verizon's caller ID is "unknown"?

Called me twice at 2:34am and 3:42am about a temporary pin they gave me 2 weeks ago.

Had the same issue with phone calls at 12:33 a.m. on March 2, 2012.  After a maddening series of transfers, their customer service agent hung up on me.  When I tried their online chat for customer service, they informed me that the glitch in their system had been repaired.  After finding this chat it seems the "glitch" has been problematic for years.

Numerous calls from 888-693-9510.  Of course, there is nobody on the line when you pick up the call. It's so frustrating!!! It doesn't help just to ignore those calls because they just keep on coming!

It was a very prompt call from Verizon to give me a temp pin #.  No complaints here.  Had to wait a couple of seconds for the message.  It's a generated voice, so it doesn't respond immediately.  If at odd hours, could someone be trying to hack your account?
