This is useless, no one is going to do anything about these criminals.  They have called my house several times.  I am going to look into how to block their number.

asked for my sons dad, then hung up when questioned, calling them right back recording says the number is no longer in service.. how is that possible??

i received a call asking for my mom or dad... and i thought he said for me so i said that this is joe... then he said stop answering the phone if you cant handel it

I'll do you one better. I got on the phone and disputed that my daughter would have signed up for PSAT study materials, and the guy said, "Well, I hope your kids are smarter than you are."  and hung up. Really??

This "company" called us twice. The say they want to follow up on teh information our daughter requested on SAT help (Not true.)  When my wife replied - you know you called here before the man said some semi-obscene things.

Same here.  Called at 815 on a Saturday morning, after having tried 4 other times during the week. I answered to keep it from waking others in the house.  Was calling the mom or dad of a kid's name. Without confirming anything, I challenged as to the purpose of the call, rattled off some name (but not a company -- his name) and that they were calling about some SAT testing material. I said I did not know who they were, and asked why they were calling at 815 on a saturday.  I got an "oh my watch has stopped, I'm sorry!" and they hung up.  Calls back to the 800 # fail to complete, just like everyone else here. I tried to answer the call and I tried to call back with no success. I want them to stop calling me several times a day and not saying anything.

This is absoultly ridiculos!!! I just took a PLAN test at my school to prep for my SATs and the first time they called, they said "Is the parents of Brianna there?" and I thought they said my name so I said "this is Brianna, my father is not here at the moment may I take a message?" then the man said some very vulgar things about my mother (who passed away) and hung up. This is dumb. They call everyday, almost twice a day! I'm only 15 and I feel harassed. Because of these calls old nightmares have been brought up. I'm going back to the consulers and these people have been calling at 1am. Thus is getting out of hand!!!!

On the caller ID it shows the non-working number 888-697-4276, I spoke with a Don Gold and received the same sells call asking for my child's parent, he started out short and direct, Once I showed some interest, I was able to get the following: Actual company name is College Prep Masters Group, customer service number 888-728-6948, website collegeprepmasters.com.  I am on the National Do Not Call Registery and now that I have this information, have filed a complaint.  I told Mr. Gold that his company has called several times and have left no message and when I return the call, it is a non-working number.  He said the reason for this is that many individuals were curious and would call the 888 toll free number just to find out who it was and ask questions and this cost the company a lot of money and they do not have the manpower to handle all call backs.???
I would like to know how they got my child's name, phone number and address?  He claims my child signed up to receive information.  If this is so, why didn't they mail the information?  I don't know how true this is, my child knows better.

They are an SAT prep center and if you politely say you're not interested, they just hang up on you.

Worse, if you try and call back, you get a message that your call cannot be completed as dialed - so clearly they are a shady outfit that is displaying a one-way or false number on caller ID

got this same phone call three times. finally today i called back the number and the recording was talk to girls all over the world and gave a different number. i would like to know how they get this information my childs name and our phone number

Getting 5 to 6 calls a week from this company after my son took a PSAT.

They are a SCAM.  They won't remove you from the calling list and will hang up on you if you try to ask,

Report to your state atty general office to get them stopped!  The company is WordSmart

If your child recently took a PSAT, they may have checked a box that said they would be interested in recieving study materials.  Nice, right?

First, call the school and complain about this tactic at a PSAT exam.  Second, call your state atty general office and report them.

I got a call from this group tonight.  He said my son, Ben, who had recently taken the PSAT had expressed an interest in receiving study material for the SAT.  Since we moved 3 months ago and I had just come back to this house 2,000 miles away to do some clean up, I questioned that my son would have used this number.  He quickly told me they had a 12 CD program, but I interrupted to ask what company he was with.  He said College Prep Masters.  Then I asked how he came about this telephone number, and he abruptly hung up.

I checked the last incoming call and it was from 888-697-4276.  Just as others stated, calling this number doesn't work.

I'll report this to my state's atty gen and provide this great website with all of your posts as evidence.

This number called and talked to me about study materials for the SAT.The woman said it cost $200.00 I said I'm not interested and she hung up.I asked my son if he knew anything about this ,he said he has no idea.That call came about a month ago ,now this number calls me everyday and they hang up as soon I answer.I am calling my phone service provider tommorow and I will cooperate as necessary to stop this ignorance and hopefully catch these people.Most people live very busy lives these days , especially those of us that are single parents. We dont have time for these scammers and their childish games.

Scam people....I am on DO NOT CALL, so these callers need to be prosecuted.

I got a call today from them at 9:30,they asked for my parents and I said they weren't home and he said,"ok I'll call back later." Then he hung up.When I tried to call the number it was not a working number.

I received the same call as the others here but from 888-697-4277.  I feel completely stupid now because I actually gave them our debit card # thinking this was something that would be good for my 16 y/o daughter.  When they called later the same day asking for the parents of my daughter (using an incorrect last name) I then became very suspicious and told the woman that they had already called me that day...she hung up.  I 've tried calling their "customer service" number to cancel the transaction for the last 2 days and all I get is either a busy signal or call goes directly to leave a voicemail where they say someone will call you back within one business day.  Needless to say that is bogus too, no one has called back.  I've already called my bank so that the charge cannot go through.  Also will report to BBB.  These people are most definitely a scam.
