Don,t have any idea as to who these people are or why they called.

Hopefully, they will stop calling.

They claimed they were calling as a Debt collector and there is no reason why they should be calling my number, because they should not be worried about my financial status.

Months i been tell them  the person they are looking for is not at this #.  Sick of this [***]

They keep calling for someone that we do not know. They will not stop calling. They call 3 or 4x a day.

automated female voice said first name, then many numbers, then last name, then more numbers, and said they had financial information and to call 888-701-1043 - they did not give any details of course

I have been getting this call for about a moth now. They are a collection agency looking for someone who is not me. Thay want me to call this number, 888-701-1043 to remove my number. Please make them stop.

I received a call from CPA regarding a time Warner bill I had paid all but $74.00 of because I disputed it. I disconnected on May 4th and returned everything and time Warner said the 19 th. I disputed and showed receipt I received when I turned in. When I told collected this she said maybe its a different service address I gave her address same as she had. They had taken my acct plus added charges. I was so irate I paid it , proved my case and was told everything was fine .  Tomorrow I'm turning time Warner in to better business buruea . I can't believe them I paid my debt. No wonder I cancelled there service

My experiences reflect all here except Heather's. I have no idea why these calls started, and I was surprised since I'm on the no-call list...which I now understand is just for protection from telemarketers. I called AT&T, the FCC, and apparently no one can do anything about this kind of harassment. That's absurdly ridiculous. MY automated female voice claims to be calling for Credit Protection Services, looking for someone named Rosalyn Jenkins regarding account No. 01740172191. I was asked for my 10-digit phone number (how did they call me if they don't have this?) and some additional numeric information which I did not completely understand. I think it's some kind of scam, but I have no idea how to combat it. It is beyond aggravating.

Mine is exactly like larrouxgirl except that the person they are inquiring about sounds like Ivory E Ian, but the computer generated female voice is hard to understand.  I should call 888 701-1043 to stop the harassing calls.  And if I was this person, I am supposed to call 888-745-2315 and give them my account number that starts with 017495.... and goes so fast that there is no way anyone could get it all.  My automated female voice claims to be calling for Credit Protection Services.  I am not calling this.  The calls are coming in 1 a day at around 6 PM and started on October 9, 2013.  Hope they will stop at some time soon.

I have the same issue. Has anyone called the 1043 number as directed to remove their number from their list?

I just called that number 888-701-1043 and the recording said to wait 48 hours to remove my phone number from the system. I hope so...

They are a debt collector.  If you believe they are contacting you in error, then file a complaint agains them with your state Office of Attorney General, Consumer Protection

Did your phone number got taken off their list? Any bad consequences?

Unfortunately, we obtained a phone number from someone known by CPA when we moved.  I have now called 2X to the number 888-701-1043 to have our phone number removed.  They have failed to keep their word to remove it.  Please remove my number at 585-485-4524.   The person with a first name of Nikita (?) must have had this number before she moved.

Voicemail says to call 888-701-1043 to have number removed and discontinue from listening to this message. The voicemail continues This is Credit Protection....please call 888-745-2315 and ref#xxxxxxx. Never states the name of the person they are calling or looking for.. I have blocked their number on my cell phone, my phone doesn't ring - yet they are still getting to my voicemail....WTH? I am FED UP with scammers.........

Calls from 888-745-2315 are from CPA, "Credit Protection Agency." A recorded message says to contact 888-701-19043 if I am not who they are badgering. This company does not comply with federal law regarding collections. I do not owe them or any client they may have, any amount of money. I agree with filing a complaint with the BBB but I also sent them a "demand to cease communication" letter, which if ignored, allows me to bring litigation against them, and I will.

Contact the FDCPA, once told to stop calling they have to by law. Federal debt collection protection act!
