Said he was from Directv/At&t with a promotion. When you call the number back it says the info is restricted

This is a SCAM.  It sounds legit, but it is not.

Offered 50% discount on Direct TV service. Had to pay 6 months in advance to get the deal. I went to the AT&T store asked about the promotion. They said it was a scam. Do not give these people any money

I just called the number back and it answers as AT&T DirecTV. It isn’t a scam.

It is a scam.  Of course they answer as AT&T Directv, they gave you the number.  Google AT&T or Directv for their real number and ask them.  There is no such promotion.

Yes it is..after I talked to them I said call me back in 30 mins let me call directv well I called directv and they informed me its a scam and the person never called me back

I called Directv after this # called me. yes it is a scam. I called the # back and questioned them about why Directv didn’t know anything about the promo. The guy hung up.

I hope u didn't send them no money because its a scam I just talked to the billing department as well as customer service and everyone informed this is a scam look at your statement and call the number on your bill or go to the AT&T store

Scam!!! Spoke with DTV and ATT...no such promotion

THIS IS A SCAM!! Unfortunately, I did give them some money and I’m ashamed to say I got scammed. Due to now being on SSI and trying to save money anyway possible, I fell for the scheme. I’m really annoyed with myself!

The biggest part of saving money is making sure that what you are paying for is real and worth it. Hopefully you have called your bank and disputed the transaction.

This 888-701-4676 called and missed my answer on Friday March 29, 2019 at 3:34pm. Twice Monday April 1 @ 1:57pm & 5:55pm. Today April 2 @ 7:34am I decided to call it only to receive a dropped call. Then @ 9:07am that number called me and I answered. It was a lady that spoke with an accent and knew my first name. Said she was calling from Direct TV but the call was so hard to hear her from the static and I said "yes this is she, where are you calling again from?" and then she hung up. I called Direct TV and received confirmation that this is not one of their phone numbers. I was advised to block the number from my phone. My only concern is if you're on the phone long enough, can they retrieve any information even though I did not provide anything but agree that was my name?

They keep calling and calling, many times throughout the day. They ask for my husband and when I say he’s not at home, he tells me I should be able to make changes to the account. I also receive text messages, sometimes with misspelled words!  Really?!?

I keep receiving unwanted and unsolicited calls from this number, numerous times daily.  The voice on the line is Asian.  When I attempt to ask the caller to remove me from their call list they hang up, then call again.  Sometimes they leave an unintelligible message; other times the message is a very loud buzzing or humming sound.  Infuriating!
