- MGI don't answer phone numbers I don't recognize: I let it ring & look it up to see if there are reports like those here. They left an incomplete voicemail (cut off at the start): a recorded female voice asking me to call this number back. I don't think I will, given prior reports made here. Instead, I'll block the number.
- CJCalls Leaves message Important Call Credit Union 1.
I Never Answer or Respond to Unknow Scammers.

- Dre| 1 replySome guy name Warren giving a fake employee number called and left a message. When I called back he was asking me questions the bank would already know the answer to (my last auto loan payment amount, address, email, etc.). Then I knew it was fishy, so I gave him random/fake info. He was frustrated so I could tell he had some sort of info that didn't match what I gave him. I finally just hung up because I was positive about 1.5 mins in, that it was a scam.
- Pudge replies to DreCall back to the number gets, "Thank you for calling Credit Union 1. This call may be monitored and recorded. Please hold for the next available representative." It then gives instructions for Spanish. I held for a rep who asked for my account number. I told him I was not a customer and asked how someone who receives a call from this number can be certain it is from credit one. He told me, as every bank and CC company has, that if you receive a call from this number, you can call the number on you card or statement. He went on to say that they do not make marketing calls but call about fraud, missed payments, or other client issues. Here's the thing. Any number can be spoofed; even a legitimate one. But don't be the potential victim of fraud because you ignored a fraud alert call. Call the number on your card, the number on your statement, the published number on the website or use the customer portal. If the Credit Union was trying to reach you they will have that information. If it was a scammer spoofing the number they will be able to tell that they did not call. However, if it was a fraud alert, the scammers win by throwing doubt on a legitimate fraud alert call. Don't be a victim. Initiate the call yourself.
