Me too. 4-16. I got a local phone number call from an "NSI" person giving me the 888 number and a case number to call. They try to sound intimidating. Criminal scam artists

Claiming “You” owed a debt but refused to answer me when I asked for the name person they were trying to reach. 🤣

I got a text on Monday and then some lady called me yesterday saying I need to call the 888 number

High end scammers. They 1st texted me 2 days ago. Then got a message early this morning on my voicemail. They even went as far as to call my dad.  They did this last year too, but called my daughter instead.

They said they are trying to get in touch with my daughter on a civil case against her. They originally called from phone # 541-204-0209 which I Googled and found out its' a scam number.

Same as above. The number they told me to call on the VM wasn’t the same as the one they texted but both led me straight here.

They called from local number giving me a 888 number to call and a ref number. Said they were NSI debt trying to forward me documents to sign

They called for my dad on my phone number.  Even call my sister in law for my dad.  Telling us on the voicemail to contact back within two hours our actions will take place.

Received voicemail from 323-307-2092 calling for my dad. Claiming: " This is a message from NSI regarding an open investigation pertaining to (last name, first name) to verify location information. please contact the issuer at 888-710-5940 and reference case file (number) to prevent further escalation.

They even texted my uncle (dads brother) for him as well with this message above.

Got a text early in the morning saying they had an investigation going about me, listed my full name, and to call an 888 phone number with my case number so further escalation does not occur. Got a call early the morning before from a local area call at the same time as the text. They were asking about a credit card I had. ( which I don't have) Pretty sure it was the same people

Got a texts mentioning that I have to call this 888 number from NSI regarding an open investigation..... then a vm's later in the day from 971-204-6653....stating to call 888 number..

Was the voicemail call a call from your area code? This happened yesterday to me as well but they also called three family members ( in 3 states) all with their local area code and my call was a local area code

It's called "neighbor spoofing". They do it in hopes you'll pick up what seems to be a familiar phone number.

I just got that today English and Spanish.

This number called me, my sister-in-law and my son; each time looking for my husband. Murray Smith (wink wink) from NSI called stating that my husband or his attorney would need to call 888-710-5940 in regards to a civil case (case number: 306XXXXX) I wonder what they would do if someone's attorney actually called? Anyways in my state - the first two numbers in a case number represent the year the case was filed she stated 306 so....1930? 2030? the third is the type of case: 1 criminal 2 civil - yet as you can see it is a 6 .... mental illness lol - not a civil case now is it?  She did sound official - no accent or anything. Seriously though - try making an honest living - stop being a parasitic-lowlife-thief.
