- Connie replies to EmmaThis guy called my business phone and left a voicemail and phone number without saying what it was about and he made it sound very official. Luckily I searched the net to see he's JUST a solicitor, peddling his wares by annoying people on the phone.
- mechanical contractor| 1 replythe guy's name is Paul Murdoch, he does his homework on who he is soliciting, so he name drops related companies and makes his calls sound as if they are directly related to your business - it's just a crappy telemarketing tactic
- Caller: R & J
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Annoyed replies to mechanical contractorHe keeps asking for the owner of the business's owner whenever he calls us. The guy who called us said his name was Ken Parker though. Then he claimed to be a supplier for Flint, but R&J sells promo items of questionable quality. I just play dumb whenever they call, it really frustratest them when I "don't know the name of the owner". Kind of fun, really.
- ContractorI am getting non stop calls from this yahoo. I hung up on Paul today and he didn't like that. He called me back to let me know that he would be notifing my boss (who he acts like he knows) that I was very rude to clients. Sorry but you're not a client of mine and you never will be. I'm also reporting to BBB - see how he likes that.

- construction managerThis guy called and asked if i wanted to try his product for $15 dollars. I agreed to the $15 charge. Then he told me the total came out to $474 because he was shipping 28 of them? That's when i said, hold on a minute... I agreed to 1 not 28. He said he's shipping them anyway. After I said you better not ship any of these, I'm not interested. Then he said "we're not talking right now, we already made the deal, call me when you get the product and have a company cheque ready" then i said, "im not interested" and hung up on him. What a dumbass.

- Angry in AlbertaPETER NORTH from R&J Concepts Inc.called this morning from their toll free number 1-888-710-8897, and would not tell receptionist what it was regarding. Just wanted to talk to the owner. Our receptionist would not let him through till he told her told what it was regarding. He finally told her it had to do with promotional stuff, Mel hung up on him.
He called back a minute or so later and say “hey RECEPTIONIST, it’s Peter North calling you back, I just wanted to pick the sand out of your [***]” and then hung up.
This is unprofessional and rude behavior. I tried to contact Mr. North to discuss his unprofessional behavior and called back the toll free number and was told he was not in. (which you know is bu***hit)
ANY hopes this company had of selling products to ours, were washed out when this unprofessional douche called and spoke to my staff in this manner.
***UPDATE
8:50 am: called and asked to speak to Peter North, was put through to a “Ron” who told me he was not in the office. Said I would call back later.
9:04 am: Called and asked to speak to Peter North’s Supervisor, (Wes Bowers) - VP of Sales –left message with Wes’s assistant/receptionist for him to call me back.
9:11 am: Wes Bowers (supposedly) called back – I explained what happened to him. He put me on speaker phone, you could hear giggling in the background as I spoke to him. I do not believe it was in fact Wes Bowers calling back, I believe it was the person who claims to be “Peter North”. I told him to "remove us from the calling list and any hope the company had of doing business with us went out the door with his salespersons unprofessionalism earlier." He then asked what he should do with “Peter North” to which I responded "that is your call." He asked “should I fire him” to which I responded “I do not make business decisions for other companies”. Then he hung up.
Now, the reason I do not believe it was in fact the VP of sales Wes Bowers that I was speaking to is due to his manner of speaking. I deal with VPs and P's on a daily basis, all of whom are professional in their tone, and the manner in which they respond, especially to matters that could result in their company facing lawsuits and/or bad press. His manner was more of a salesman...the giggling in the background when he put me on speaker phone and I spoke as to what the salesman had said earlier. He did not seem concerned nor care that his employee had offended our Receptionist. Or that his company had now lost any chance at a large account (we do a LOT of promotional items on a yearly basis).
Anyway, after reading all of the postings on this site, the manner in which the entire company speaks seems to be rude, unprofessional, demeaning, and harrassing. Please do NOT do business with this company.- Caller: R&J Concepts Inc.

- construction company| 1 replyI'm an office manager for a construction company and I recieved a call from these guys this morning. caller ID said 416-483-5257 but 888-710-8897 was left as a call back number. The guy asked for the owner and tried to get his cell phone number when I said the owner wasn't in. His name was Anthony Diangelo and sounded like a slimy salesman. After reading these comments I'm glad I didn't give him any info.

- Virginia replies to construction companyYea I just had a call from the same number and he asked for the owner and then says "what's his cell".
Never give it out. The name he gave me to ask for when the boss calls him back was Shane Allan. I won't even bother giving the boss the message; waste of time. He has called many times and he sounds very rude. - IAGREETOTALLYThis guy called us today saying he was a salesman with one of the wholesalers we do business with. Asks to speak to the "big guy" when asked whom he was referring to he replies, "you know, the head honcho over there, the guy who is never in when I call". Obviously seeking the owners name..when told he is not in he says "well give me his cell number then, I have a pen ready" When I asked what it was concerning, he says it is a follow up call in regards to a meeting about a job that we are going to be doing with the supplier he represents. When I advise we do not do work for this supplier, we just purchase from them, he responds "Not yet you don't but your going to"...at which point I figured this guy is just trying to scam us and said I would relay his message to my boss. I call back the 1-888-710-8897 number and found it was R&J Concepts Marketing...I have advised our supplier that he is misrepresenting their company and they plan on reporting him to the authorities...beware of this moron!!

- wary of strangers| 1 replyA guy calling himself Paul Matthews left us a voicemail. Said we met last year, doesn't know if his name rings a bell, his dad owns Matthews Ranch and that he's with R & J Concepts. Wonders if we still raise animals. Didn't recognize the name or the guy's voice. Pretty sure we don't know him. Sure enough I end up on this website. They're just using a marketing technique where they try to pretend they know something about you (probably googled some info off the internet to find out what business we're in). Never called him back - he hasn't called us either.
