- Bill| 7 repliesCall from 888-721-4280, they left a voicemail regarding a family member's "new case" received in their office. No details were given but they named the person in question as well as their current employer. The caller literally called 5 other relatives that I know of. I spoke to the family member in question and the debt owed is legit but this company goes scorched earth, which is obviously their method of operation.

- Nimrod replies to Robert| 4 repliesA Google search for "TMG & Associates" returns a a plethora of companies in diverse locations (including a law firm in Pakistan). Before anybody is going to take your claims seriously you are going to have to tell the readers here which specific "TMG & Associates" you (supposedly) represent, including your physical address and a link to your official website.
The posts by others here show the tactics of a Fake Process Server/Fake Debt Collector scam, so your will have to convince everyone that you are actually a legitimate representative of a legitimate company and not just a slimy shill for a scam operating from underneath a slimy rock resting under the belly of a snake.
In the mean time, I am going to report you to the Mods here and let them decide if you seem too shilly to remain. - Karen| 1 replyRobert Davis called me saying that a relative of mine has two formal complaints in process from an employer that she left years ago. I also received a call yesterday from a different person saying the same thing.

- Robert replies to Nimrod| 3 repliesTMG & Associates is a real debt collection agency and just because people are embarrassed about their personal debts doesn't make us invalid. We have a job to do. People borrow money and then don't pay it back. We are forced to call in attempt to collect the debt. That is how it works when you borrow money and don't pay it back. It's simple.
- Robert replies to KarenNot "from an employer". You didn't listen well.
- Nimrod replies to Robert| 2 repliesI see the shill for the mythical "TMG & Associates" has returned to attempt more damage control.
From the post you replied to:
If "TMG & Associates" is such a "real debt collection agency", then they would have to have a real physical address, so why did you not post that for the readers here, to prove you are "real". (And, do not give use the excuse of "We cannot do that to protect our employees." that shills always give.)Nimrod wrote:... tell the readers here which specific "TMG & Associates" you (supposedly) represent, including your physical address and a link to your official website.
You also did not give us a link to your "real" companies website. This is the Twenty First Century, the "Information Age", what "real" company in this day and age does not have a website to extol their "realness"?
If that is too much for you to handle; since most States require debt collectors to be registered and licensed, just tell us a few of the States you are licensed to operate in and the license numbers each of those States issued to your company. That is all public record and it would definitely prove you are a "real debt collection agency" that operates in accordance with the law.
Barring your ever giving us any of that information, readers here will just have to accept that your "real debt collection agency" is in reality a "real scam operation" and you are little more than a shill for the same scam operation trying (and failing) at making your scam calls appear legitimate.
Karen reported that she received two calls over two days from two different persons at this number, both of which gave her the same message. Hard to believe that she did not "listen well" enough both times. She did not mention if she was on the line or if the messages were left as voicemail (as reported by previous posters), but if it was the latter, she may have listened to the messages multiple time before reporting them here.Robert replying to Karen wrote:Not "from an employer". (Looks like yet another instance where the shill for this scam operation has failed in doing damage control.) - Anonymous| 1 replyI just received a call from this person, too. He called from two different numbers. The first one he called from was 636-812-6869, which is a number that shows as being from Chesterfield, MO. he identified himself as Robert Davis both times. In two different calls, he claimed I owed to Capitol One, then said CashNetUSA in the second call. He didn't even know which last name to address me by (he used both my married and my maiden names).
He was extremely aggressive in his tone and called me 'Jessica' like a dad reprimanding a child. Very much a "bully them into thinking they're in trouble" type of deal. He called me a total for four times. I received the call them the 888 number after I had blocked the 636. I threatened to report him to the police for harassment if he called, again, then blocked the 888 number, as well. Thankfully, I haven't gotten another call, yet.- Caller: Robert Davis

- MikeHuntleton| 2 repliesRobert the shill gave the address of PO Box 11283 in Rock Hill, SC as the TMG address, but a Google AI says it belongs to Williams & Fudge, Inc., a debt collection agency that specializes in education-related receivables.
About Williams & Fudge, Inc.:
Services: The company works with colleges, universities, and other institutions to recover outstanding debts, including student loans and delinquent tuition payments.
Headquarters: While the PO Box is in Rock Hill, their main office is located at 300 Chatham Avenue in the same city.
Legitimacy: Williams & Fudge is a legitimate debt collection business, not a scam, but like many collection agencies, they have received consumer complaints.
BBB Rating: As of May 2025, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) has accredited Williams & Fudge and gives them an A+ rating, although they have had complaints filed against them.
"TMG Assoc" is an ambiguous name that could refer to multiple different companies, while Williams & Fudge, Inc. is a specific, well-known debt collection agency. If you are receiving calls or communication, you should determine the company's identity before deciding on a course of action.
More than likely Robert the shill is a scammer spoofing the Williams & Fudge address. The website he gave is a few years old.

Debt collectors must follow the regulations set forth in the FDCPA. Please familiarize yourself with these regulations before communicating with a debt collector. Easy to follow advice is available from the CFPB. Read here:

In addition, be careful not to reset the clock on ZOMBIE debt.
From the BBB:
Avoid resetting the clock on zombie debt:Quote:Creditors often remove old debt from their ledgers and sell it to third-party collectors. In some cases, the debts are legitimate, but in other cases, they aren’t. When debts are sold and re-sold, the records may be incomplete or inaccurate. Think of it as a game of “telephone.” The more times a debt is passed around, the more chance that the related information is wrong.Quote:To avoid resetting the clock on zombie debt, do not make any payments or acknowledge the debt in writing, as these actions can restart the statute of limitations. It's also important to keep track of when the debt was first reported as delinquent and check your state laws regarding debt collection. - Pudge replies to MikeHuntleton| 1 replyThanks MikeHuntleton.
