This number was associated with a frodulant charge on my account for $49.65.  I called the number and it stated that I could not call that number from the area I am in.  I called my bank and asked if they could stop it from going through as neither my other half nor I had charged that amount to our cards.  Howevcer the bank informed me that I would ahve to report it to the police and get a claim number to bring in.  Then I would have to fill out paperwork with that number in order to reverse it.  Talk about a problematic issue!  I will try and fight it but they sure have our nuts in a vice!!

had an unauthorized charge from ATT BUS PHONE PMT 2 months ago and one again today. also got an unauthorized from WWW.NCO-SERVICE.COM today as well.. found a posting "There seems to be some kind of address at the bottom and when you copy//paste into google it links to a variety of porn sites along with similar "Customer Support Centers" like NCO." So my thinking is it must be from a previous purchase of an adult site and they are using that information to charge us or selling it to some one who can charge us. Im going to cancell my card and see if that fixes it.

Also note that my bank said they had an acutal card swipe  for the transaction, meaning some one is making thier own cards since i only have one card and its in my back pocket.

    Important:
Cancel your bank card immediatly becouse it has been "stolen". Yes its inconvenent to file for another card, which takes about one to two weeks to get a new one after you file. But get this done its not just a one time thing.

Step Two: Getting your money back. Don't just lay back and take it!

The bank reports the charges to the cards "issueer", in my case Visa.
    They need:
    1)Police report number
2)Copy of bank statment with the charges showing
    3)Statment for the bank

A:For those of you wishing to file a police report, dont be intimidated go to the police station and get this done. Its not that hard and it took me all of 10 minutes to file and walk out the door.

You need the following information showing on a bank statment print out.
When: Date and Time if you have it.(some bank statements do)
Who:  ATT BUS PHONE PMT > any additional info on your statment (ex: mine says Dallas Texas.)
How much: How much they charged you.

EX: 15Mar00  12:30PM ATT BUS PHONE PMT Dallas, Texas $234.56

    B: Statment for the bank

    To whom it may consern,
I, <your full name here>, did not authorize the following charges on my account for card number <enter card number here>:

EX: 15Mar00  12:30PM ATT BUS PHONE PMT Dallas, Texas $234.56

Sign and Date the letter. You must have the police report with this to turn into your bank.

    I hope this helps.

I had a debit from my account of $244.05. The debit info said: PRE-AUTH 04/24 ATT*BUS PHONE PMT 888-726-7066 TXUS ATT*BUS. It took me many hours and many phone calls to ATT to figure this one out. I saw this blog and almost canceled my bank account. The 888 number is a generic ATT contact # that's used on many automatic bill pay charges. After talking to the fraudulent return people at ATT they finally figured out that it was a data entry error and they reversed the payment. It was not however a fraudulent debit. I also talked to my bank and they reversed all the overdraft fees. So, everyone talk to ATT and demand answers. It looks like this is not the first data entry error that has occurred. And it probably won't be the last...

This charge was made by ATT. I got Called up AT&T, gave them the card on which the charges were made. They did a quick search and found the phone number of the guy to whome the charges belonged. I called that person up and got things resolved. Took 30 mins.

We found this on our on-banking and called the number and got the message you are not in local calling area. Then i called the bank and they could not find any numbers and then i googled att*bus payment and found this website and then i saw the comment about the number was wrong it was 426 instead of 726 so i called the right number and it was att and it was our home phone bill and they had been deducting it monthly.
