Travel deals, are they legit??? or phoney, scamms???

they look like a scam. i called back and they never sent out this, i asked for their company name, and they said why do i need it ......they will only entertain my call if i will reserve and ready with my credit card. the guy was rude and when i asked for his name, he paused.... and asked me if i am reserving.
i guess this is scam

Spam fax for bogus vacation deals.  5 days and 4 nights for $117 per person to places like Cancun, Jamaica, Bahamas, Dominican Republic or Costa Rica.  All too goo to be true deals.

The guy answering the call was an [***].  Very rude.  Wouldn't give hotel names unless I was ready with credit card and commiting to payment.  Then he hung up on me.  [***]!!!

Continuously keep receiving fax for vacation package deals the number to call is 888-727-2853.  Knowingly perfectly well that it's a scam, I throw them in the trash as I receive them.  Why are they still operating?  has anyone reported this?

the same scam fax. Why doesn't Federal Trade Commission do anything about it? If you google the number, it shows a website.

junk fax about saving me money on a trip.  Best bet is to just call them and waste their time.  Others are right, if u don't give credit card # , they won't talk to you very long.

i just called and the girl was very nice and gave me a list of resorts that R included and a ton of info. I've gotten this fax before and it's from H.R. Dept. I had my son call from a dif number and he was told they have sold out and that was it. No trying to sell more packages or anything. I've got a price for 2,4 or 6 people and told her I'd talk it over and call back. She was very nice and simply said ok I cannot promise there will be any packages left. Idk is this a scam or what??

I have gotten faxes once or twice a week even after I have called them twice to complain.  I have filed a complaint with donotcall.gov as well.  Now, they just put you on hold.  Has anyone had any luck with calling and reporting them to the local police department or attorney general?  Curious.

They faxed me again on a Monday morning and caught me in the wrong mood.  The fax removal number does not work so I call that tell them to stop faxing, again.  Has not worked yet.
Did some research and found:
Their website is travelvipnow.com (the email listed on the site does not work)
The physical address on their website is in the UK not the USA
The website is registered to - register.com which is to hide the owners real identity.  If you would like to complain to register.com their email is nstc@register.com.
I asked them for the real owners name so that I can file a lawsuit for unsolicited/junk faxes.  Here in Calif that is $2500 a pop.  I am up to $10,000 worth of faxes.  Doubt they will give it to me but if they do I will post it on here.

Monday morning spam fax - looks like they haven't used this "booking and reservations" number for several months.

Hey B, whose "HR dept" is sending these spam faxes?  It sure isn't the HR dept of the company I work for because I AM the HR dept. Your entire post is BS and you obviously have a financial interest in ripping people off.

That's exactly what I got too - wanting credit card today and when I said No, I wanted more info, they hung up.

Ripped me off $848, they took my money but could never book my request .

Travel VIP is no longer in business using 888-727-2853. However, they are now called American
World Travel (www.americanwts.com) using the SAME number. A family member answered a radio station trivia question and won a trip & cruise. The catch.....only $399.00 to be charged to a credit card and would receive the same amount back via VISA gift cards! Rule of thumb, if it's too good to be true, it's not. If it's free, than no charges should be made. Thank goodness I was able to research and catch these scammers. Please, do not fall for these gimmicks.
