This debt collecter that first said they were the finalization department from PLS then Law offices of Scott Ledger and now Premier Legal services continue to call and leave threatening messages, about personally contacting the head of HR department, going strait to my employer and going to property addresses I actually never lived at.

Best part about it is.  They say after numerous contact attempts.  Yet... this is the first time I’ve ever heard of them. Haha

I first got a call from an unknown number. I didn’t answer but they left a voicemail. The voicemail was from Eric from PLS in regard to a civil suit against me. I was told in a very stern and threatening tone to call this number by the end of business day or they would go through with the lawsuit. I never called the number. This was Friday. It is now Monday and I received another call from an unknown number. I answered. This time it’s Eric from Harris County Process Services and he doesn’t know what they civil suit is for, it’s coming from his clients at Levy and Cohen. He asked if I have received messages from them. I asked what kind of messages. They mailed to my home address. Claimed to have verified my employer which I no longer am employed. So I call the phone number which the guy tells me if the lawsuit goes through they will garnish 25% of my wages from my paychecks until the amount owed is paid off, including court fees. I told them “I ain’t got it.” They did have my previous address and last 4 of my social which is alarming if this is a scam. I never knew debt collectors to call from an unknown number, be so aggressive, and change their company name over the course of a weekend. Red flags so I looked this number up to find this forum with similar issues.

I received a voicemail from a lady claiming that I need to call her immediately by the end of the day or she would go through with the lawsuit against the property which I rent by the way. I called the number and reached a guy by the name of Scott. This was an angry little man. He stated that he was with a company called platinum withholding‘s and I was being sued by Kay jewelers. It was alarming because he had the last for my Social Security and my address, he also knew I had account with Kay jewelers at some time. However he said I was being sued for $2800 and my Kay jewelers account was less than five. I’m not sure if because I’m doing credit repair somehow he was able to intercept my information from a credit agency. Anyway he proceeded to threaten me by calling my HR department to garnish 25% of my wages.

    Major Scammers-Beware
Got a call from (586) 204-6475, called ID said "Accent Appliance", they left no message, a second later the same number rang on my cell phone.  I answered, they asked for me directly, and I hung up.  Then 2 minutes later I get a call from (888) 719-2171 with a message "this is mary with Premium LS you need to call us immediately or important documents...." I call that number and I get a Mark Elliot, who is with Levy and Cohen, says they bought these debts from Premium ls" asks for me by my name, and knew my date of birth.  Brings up an old debt from 2003, wto which I say, I don't think I ever had an account with that company.  He gets rude and says, well you did, and I am will to accept $700 on a $3000.00 debt but you have to decide today or I will see you in Court" I said well fine, see you in court then.  Then my phone rings again, this time with a (888-732-5917) I call it, and there is an answering machine that says "the office of scott ledger", and then a man picks up and says "these calls are all the same company" so they have 3 names???? He goes on to tell me that they want to deliver some papers to me and want to make sure I'[m home, he is PLS, I said, 1st off I don't even thnk the debt you are referring to is mine, and 2nd am I going to get a "validation letter" of the debt.  He then told me I was being nosey.  I laughed and said, you've called my house several times and I'm not being nosey and he hung up on me.  Something very fishy with this and they try to make it seem legit.  No debt collectors would be THAT rude, and not just simply give you the information you ask for, not to mention debts from 2003 are time barred.  There is a statue of limiation on debts, as well as the right to get a validation of the debt within 5 days of 1st contact.  Beware of these numbers and people, definetly a major scam trying to get money !!
