- kathy kroeger| 1 replyLeft message about summons????????
- BarbCall from this number saying they had a summons for a relative of mine. I could be wrong, but the background noise, and line of questioning sounded very much like a collection agency call center.
- Comm Center replies to kathy kroegerThey used my agency in one of their messages. It is a scam.
- Business of TiresThis moron (a woman named Laura) called our tire shop looking to serve a summons on some "Janet Howard". For one, you cannot process serve people over the phone. (Seriously...through the mail or in person is the only way, you'd think these morons would know that a person will automatically call the county Clerk of Courts Office) For two, when I called back the "Mr. Remierez" sounded more like a collection agency than a process server. This is a giant SCAM.
- Caller: Process Server Dispatch
- Dawn LynchThis person said they came to my home I wasn't here! I'm always home I go no where-and today I found out they call my mother and brother n law-I called the police and sheriffs department they said its a red flag that it's an 888 # and my name isn't scheduled for court date

- Caller: Remington legal group

- Isha JohnstonThis company called my office, spoke with my boss and said there was an open case against me - which there is not. The man my boss spoke with, Larry Brown, said that they didn't have my correct home address on file and were going to serve papers on me at work. I called the number back, got Larry Brown, told him I knew this was a scam and that it had been reported to the police. The man (I doubt that is his real name) told me "you're dead [***]" and hung up the phone.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.- Caller: Informational Post
