Trying to get payment for a business listing that we did not put ourselves in. They call often and the phone #, address and company name does not exist.

Someone calling himself Derek Johnson called me, insisting that my company had placed an ad in their "Business Pages" and letting me know that the final invoice for $699 was on its way.  The caller then transfers you to a person in the "Shipping Department" to verify your address. They call themselves Shorewall Business Publications.  I googled them and they do not exist. When the invoice arrives, I am sending it directly to the Attorney General of the State of New York, along with documentation of this scam.

Hello there I would like to report a problem from the telephone number 1-888-739-5631 that I received just a few moments ago on 11-25-2014!  Derek Johnson x 5223 said he was the supervisor.

Said that he wanted to close an account and I abruptly told him that we had not ordered any listing as we do not do any type of yellow page listings!  I told him I did not order it twice and then hung up.

He quickly returned my call very insistent and I replied again I had not ordered any listing and he said that the account was going to stay upon and that I would have to pay the invoice.  I again said I did not order I will not pay and if you would like you can FAX me the information and he insisted that I would receive something in the mail within 10 business day.

I am not paying . . . he is rude and I see on internet that he is a scammer !

Someone called me requesting payment for a business listing that we asked to be removed from.  We've received this request in the past and told them we do not want to be listed in their publication.  The guy calling me today said that we will not be published but that we have to pay for our previous listing.  I requested phone numbers and addresses to research his company, which he reluctantly provided me.  We are not paying any invoice from them.

Big fat scam!....saying we subscribed to a business listing but did no such thing.
