Called this morning and left this obvious scam:

Voicemail from (888) 739-8426
"Before we suspend your social security number and stop your benefits call us back as soon as possible. Again this call is from Social Security Administration and number to reach department is 888-739-8426. I repeat it's 888-739-8426. Thank you."

Got same call with that message left on answering machine..

I received 2 of the same calls claiming to be from Social Security, as stated below. Obviously a scam!

It is a scam. You must  initiate the call to Social Security office.

Received 3 calls today identical to the one received by lily cat.

So sick of these obvious scam calls.

Just received this message while on vacay in Maui. Is this a scam or legit. I know the IRS never calls, communicates via United States Postal Service

I just received the same call.  I do not get SS Benefits  from SS.  Must be a Scam

I received the same message. I called back but no answer

Same message received today - can't believe anyone would fall for such a thing
