Scammers from a fly-by-night publishing company that has no history.

Just being trying to get in cobtact with me about publishing a book. Don't know how tbey got my information. The ext. Is 6686. Thanks

The guy said he was calling from a publishing company and was working with literary agents.First he started talking to me by my First Name like we had already developed a friendship of some sort. I asked how did he receive my information and he hung up. Go figure that one.

I have had communication with Tony Hopkins of Greenberry Publishing. The price to enter Los Angeles Book fair is $499. Is this a legitimate publishing venture?

I believe so because they were one of the book exhibitors during the miami book fair last year

Your question is a very stupid one. Did you read through this thread? Can you do an Internet search? I would certainly hope so if you're an aspiring writer or author. Do some research. It won't take you long to find out if this outfit is a "legitimate publication venture".

Just because they exhibited at a book fair doesn't mean callers claiming to be them actually are them.

I just looked up the Los Angeles Book fair and the cheapest exhibiter price is 3x that price!  We received a message from an "Alice Jones", x9345 from Greenberg (poor English).  I have no idea how she got our phone number, which is not published, unless the publisher we went through for our book sold their customer list. BEWARE!  I got involved including a good amount of money and it looks as though they closed shop

The website has only been up since August 17, 2017, and they filed for an LLC on August 30, 2017.  They have a D+ rating with the BBB with one complaint that they never responded to.  They are operating out of an apartment building.

I have had quite a time trying to reach this company.  I contacted them 2 days ago on Mon. Apr. 23rd and they said they would email me so I could send them my manuscript.  I am still waiting for them to return their call, and the original guy who I spoke to is no longer there.   Now they are calling themselves Author's  Press.

I received the following message from a "Troy Mason" and I was really excited about finally getting someone to publish my book. I guess it's back to the drawing board. I'm glad I was able to come check on here and be informed before getting scammed.

Someone from this number called me this morning but I did not answer it and they left no message. However, after reading the previous post I want it to let others know that I've had many calls from people claiming to be marketing/publishers. Those that I've talked to know my name, my book title, and when it was published. They each claim that it's unique and special, blah blah blah. one of them wanted to set me up on an international  tour at Book Fairs.  the only problem was I had to get there. I feel this is a new trend focusing on writers to take advantage of those who have self-published books. I have no doubt that they probably will set you up at book fairs of some sort but I doubt they have any real influence in the book industry. The one company I did talk to wanted me to pay them without even looking at a contract. That's a big red flag. Be careful out there.

I have been scamed for a whole year by a company called Greenberry publishing company.
We and our 2 books where invited to Miami for a large BOOK FAIR.  I had both book's sent to the university there for my daughter.  When she arrived the books couldn't be located.
And the person who called himself Absparker@greenberrypublishing.com had to leave the day she arrived.
He has been contacting me ever since November 15th 16th 17th 18th 19th.  2018
Telling me he don't like it that my books aren't going anywhere,and  that he can lower the cost of them. He told me he would put my book's into store's.  He would  help me to sell my books.
He was wanting a lot of money for Miami BOOK FAIR for a BOOTH.  I paid for that.
I also paid half the money, and sent him manuscript of the book's.  Now I can no longer reach him
