1st financial Asset Mgnt, Debt Collector calls from 888-771-3379 and leaves a number 866-750-5643 for you to return their call. Calls on Sundays as well.

They keep calling for people that no longer have this number.  Called again today after 45 days ago saying they would put this number on their DO NOT CALL LIST.  I don't think they have the capacity to actually remove a number.  Just out of curiosity I did a little research.  Don't like what I read about people that buy debts and put people to the brink of suicide.   If you buy someone's old debt you know you've got something they were not able to pay if you get stuck then you knew what you were getting into.  Although it's not a call for me it keeps happening and they are well aware of that.  Also read about how they harassed these people.  People should pay their debts and should work it out with the original owners of the debts and from what I read these people should not be in business.  

When I answered I didn't even get a response.  All the ID showed was Toll Free.  Really professionals here.

I don't think, in general, there is a master no-call list the way telemarketers are required to keep. A bad debt collector won't do anything that isn't already part of a law. It's likely that junk debt collectors can't alter any records in an account portfolio and any annotations made won't travel when uncollected accounts are returned or resold.

Verbal demands do not assure an end to misfired skip trace calls. My advice for "not me" cases is found here:

The two prior comments cite two different agencies here, for which I am not aware of any common ownership. Hopefully future reports will clarify the call source.
