Caller stated he shows I use Direct TV and he wanted to make sure I was happy with the services I'm receiving. Funny thing is I'm a Spectrum customer but I'm going to say this is in result to me just switching my cell phone service to AT&T and they're cold calling trying to get new business.

Caller with heavy accent claimed he was from DirecTV to offer a bundle package (cellphone + tv + internet) for $89/mo. Tipoff was he needed 3 mos payments upfront over the phone to activate the deal which expired at 6pm. DirecTV would never hustle something and demand payment by phone. I called DirecTV to report this and they confirmed there is no such bundle deal being offered. Caller had my private info somehow and that is disturbing.

Yes people, this is a fraud. They will most likely tell you that in order to qualify for this "deal" you need to give them your first payment with an Amazon or similar, debit card.  I cannot believe this has been going on since 2010. You are reporting this to the FCC, right?

Obvious call center environment (delay upon answering and then transfer click). Said he was with AT&T and had some special bundle offers. Said "I see that you currently pay over $125 per month, is that correct?" I said "No" (my bill is lower than that) and he yelled "OK BYE" and hung up.

From the above information, am assuming this is part of a phishing expedition by some scammer. Am not, nor would I ever again  be a DirecTV customer (been there, done that). And if it was AT&T or DirecTV calling, their actual caller ID ought to reflect that; it did when I was their customer.

I get occasional calls that show up in caller Id as V40318252900153 The next page in phone is the phone number 888-777-2454. Since my caller ID is also voice, I have never answered this call, today is the first time I searched the number. They never leave a message, I never answer - but clearly seems to be a scam of some sort, if not just an annoyance.
