Same thing happened to me. They called stating they were letting me know of a pending civil lawsuit with court appearance in a few days. If I didn't appear, I would be in 'serious trouble'. They then started to say it was regarding a debt, which I do not have. I am not in collections, don't have any negatives on my credit report. They sound real and are scary. Beware of their tactics.

They claim to be Dodson Law Los angeles. Called me to pay a debt, and to settle with them before taking this to court. Calls from UNKNOWN but their call back number is 888 782 3271. Scary how much of my information they knew. But definetely a scam. They kept pushing for me to deposit money into their account by walking into a Chase bank..

They just left me a message and basically said that I have been served...via message!  I was almost scammed last year in leasing a home that was actually being sold.  I went to the police where I reside and they told me there was nothing they could do.  How were you able to file a report?

a scam! how scary. They called my brothers number which is really weird asking for me. I've never had his cell phone number or given it out as my own so I knew something was off. They said I had a court appearance and that i needed to appear. I knew it was a scam. They called his phone from a private caller ID and gave the 888-782-3271 call back number

    Mr. Dude
Told me to call Antony Ways from the Enforcement Department  in Orange County with a fake case court name about a debt in 2014. Called and got them to tell me their office is located in 5617 Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles, which is fake, and its a legal , fake,  office.

    Very Angry
I received a voicemail from a blocked number claiming to be someone calling from the Queens county court system advising me that I was about to be served with the summons and to call the number above  with a case number that was left in the message .  When I called the number to inquire further, someone claiming to be  "Dan Walker " at extension 211 informed me that I would have a summons served to me unless I immediately paid thousands of dollars to stop the service of the summons.  These scammers can obtain your name and the last four digits of your social security number from public records to make it sound like they are more legitimate.  The voicemail message also says that you will be served a summons in the vicinity of your home address  but they don't give you the exact address . Do not give any of these people any of your confidential information . The police officer that I spoke to also said to never get into a long conversation with these people because they have the ability to record your voice and then try and open up credit cards in your name .  Be vigilant and keep an eye on your credit reports for any suspicious activity .

Yeah that's the bad part about these bogus calls - calls to your work. It's pretty easy to ignore these people and block their phone calls, but you can't really ignore their calling you on your job.

If it's a choice between getting a summons outlining all the facts of a lawsuit or pay thousands of dollars to a stranger for no good reason, that's a pretty easy choice for me.

Block the calls and ignore them, you know.

    Dodson Law Scam

Most likely US based scam.   In any event, this is a debt scamming operation.
Ignore and block any calls from this “Dodson” group.
Using:  administration@legalprocess.info on their e-mail.   Apparently located in Arizona.
Also appear to be using:  info@rrsincorporated.net for e-mail purposes.
Threats of civil process, impersonating some vague “county” governmental organization. Impersonating local law enforcement.  Threats of arrest.
Sometimes use a CID of “Dispatch Processors”, or “Process Service Dispatchers”.   Also names like Jim Winton and   Ray Jackson turn up.
Both these names appear on other scams on 800notes.

This Dodson scam has called from:

    855-379-3917
    888-387-9275
    888-589-9957
    888-591-5783
    888-602-5290
    888-707-0093
    888-707-0096
    888-740-1036
    _________________
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

Yes, the "Dodson Law Group" called my place of business, my cell phone and my parents!  The same speech that many of you have heard. "Pay $850 up front then $300 every two weeks."  "You have a summons to appear in court."  This supposed debt is no where to be found on any of the three credit bureaus. I have not received anything in the mail either.  Do not give them any information!  You have the right to tell them they do not have permission to call your job, friends or family members. Ask for their address so you can send them a certified letter stating they do not have permission to do so. They will probably get quiet or change the subject once you ask them for a mailing address.  Best of luck!
